We're looking for an experienced Solar PV Technical Manager to lead the technical delivery of our Solar PV projects and help support the continued growth of our renewable energy division. Reporting to the Clean Heat Operations Manager, you'll provide technical leadership across our Solar PV projects, ensuring installations are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You'll work closely with project teams, installation engineers, customers and supply chain partners to deliver outstanding results while maintaining full compliance with industry regulations. Key Responsibilities Take ownership of the end-to-end installation process for Solar PV and Battery Storage projects. Act as the main technical point of contact for customers throughout project delivery. Lead and manage employed installation teams and specialist subcontractors. Coordinate project programmes with internal departments and external stakeholders. Manage material procurement and supplier relationships. Attend site during key installation phases and oversee commissioning. Ensure full compliance with MCS requirements and Health & Safety legislation. Produce technical handover documentation. Act as Sustainable Building Services' designated MCS Technical Person. You'll be a motivated technical leader who enjoys developing people, solving problems and delivering quality renewable energy installations. Essential Qualifications Fully qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3, AM2 and 18th Edition) Solar PV Battery qualification Level 3 Electrical Energy Storage Systems (EESS) qualification (or equivalent) Full UK Driving Licence Desirable Testing & Inspection qualification (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent). Skills & Experience Strong technical knowledge of Solar PV and Battery Storage systems. Excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills. At least three years' experience within the electrical industry. A minimum of two years' experience delivering domestic Solar PV installations. Proven project and team management experience. Experience with DNO applications, commissioning and MCS compliance.
