Estimator Pinxton, Nottingham 35,000 - 40,000 DOE We're working with a growing specialist manufacturing business operating within the construction and architectural products sector. Due to continued growth, they're looking to add an experienced Estimator to their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with industry experience who enjoys working with drawings, specifications, pricing and customers, and who wants to join a business where their experience and commercial input will be valued. Description of the role: Review customer enquiries, drawings, schedules and specifications. Prepare accurate and timely quotations. Complete measurements and quantity take-offs from drawings. Use CAD to interpret and work with technical drawings. Calculate costs covering materials, labour, production, delivery and project-specific requirements. Liaise with customers and colleagues to clarify project requirements. Obtain supplier, subcontractor and transport costs where required. Maintain accurate records of estimates, revisions and assumptions. Follow up quotations and support the sales process. Work closely with production and operations teams to ensure quoted work is practical and achievable. Identify project risks, exclusions and special requirements. Contribute to improving estimating and pricing processes. About you: Previous estimating experience within cast stone, architectural stone, precast concrete, masonry, joinery, metalwork or other manufactured construction products would be advantageous. Strong CAD experience and the ability to interpret technical drawings. Excellent numeracy and attention to detail. Experience carrying out measurements, take-offs and pricing. Good commercial awareness and an understanding of profitable pricing. The ability to manage multiple enquiries and deadlines. Strong communication and organisational skills. Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel. A practical, proactive and commercially minded approach.
