Freelance Quantity Surveyor Façades & Building Envelope Manchester (Site Based) Immediate Start Long-Term Contract Residential Projects We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in façade cladding and building envelope packages to join a reputable subcontractor delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects. This is an immediate start, long-term freelance opportunity, taking full commercial responsibility for a new residential scheme in central Manchester. The Role Reporting directly to the Commercial Director , you will be responsible for the full commercial management of a live residential project. Key duties will include: Full QS responsibility for façade and building envelope packages Managing valuations, variations, cost reporting, and final accounts Liaising with design teams, Tier 1 contractors, and subcontractors Supporting procurement and commercial negotiations Working closely with site teams and operations to ensure successful delivery Ensuring commercial compliance and project profitability Requirements Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor within façades and building envelope subcontracting Strong commercial acumen with proven cost management and negotiation skills Good working knowledge of construction contracts Proven track record working with reputable subcontractors Available for an immediate start What s on Offer Long-term freelance contract Competitive day rate (DOE) (Outside IR35) Opportunity to work on a residential development in Manchester Well-run business with a strong pipeline of work Professional, collaborative team environment
