Our client a leading M&E compnay are looking for a Mechanical Estimator Electrical Estimator About the Role The successful candidates will join an integrated estimating and delivery team, working on complex projects across multiple sectors within the built environment. The role involves producing accurate and robust take-offs using both traditional methods and our proprietary digital take-off tools and working closely with the Bid Manager and Senior Leadership Team to review and adjudicate tender and bid submissions. Candidates must be technically strong, with the ability to read, interpret, and fully understand technical specifications and design information, including schematics, architectural drawings, plans, sections, and elevations. A key aspect of the role is identifying technical risks, raising concerns, and contributing to the development of clear and comprehensive clarifications. Attendance at site visits is mandatory; we do not operate a desktop-only estimating function, and successful tender opportunities require physical site engagement. The role also involves liaising with supply-chain partners and manufacturers to ensure technical compliance and a clear understanding of client requirements. Candidates must demonstrate strong commercial awareness, including effective procurement and value-engineering capability where appropriate, supported by the analysis and comparison of a minimum of three compliant quotations. Review of subcontractor and supplier returns to ensure full scope coverage and eliminate gaps is also essential.
