As the Assistant Transport Router, you will be responsible for assisting the Transport Coordinator overseeing the day-to-day operations of delivery/exchange and collection of all the hired plant machinery. Responsibilities: To assist the Transport Coordinator with the ancillary roles of routing Advising sales team of potential late deliveries Advising sales team of changes to timings/days on collections and deliveries First point of contact for enquiries relating to ETA First point of contact for driver enquiries/issues with addresses, awkward access etc. Looking ahead to source equipment for specific jobs - Chelsea Flower Show for example - and selecting fleet numbers and placing them securely to one side Looking ahead to identify pinch points on certain items - Garden Equipment in Spring for example Trained up to be able to route - with assistance from the Transport Coordinator - to cover holiday and absences. Our plant hire fleet is replaced every months, ensuring customers are always hiring machines that are modern, efficient, and reliable. The primary responsibility of the Yard Person is to be responsible for the safe efficient and smooth running of the yard operation. Yardperson duties and responsibilities: Ensuring the yard and warehouse is always swept and clean Wash area is regularly pressure cleaned and free from mud deposits Jet wash the tools/plant as required when returned from being on hire and fill with diesal. Helping load and unload vehicles for both colleagues, customers, and suppliers Support of trade counter staff in ferrying on and off hires to and from workshop and yard Safe storage of spares, Hire and Sales Stock Health & Safety Must be fit and active as you will be loading and unloading machinery from the van To perform a walk around every evening ensuring all keys are removed from plant and any small items of equipment are removed from the yard and secured inside the depot Other Duties Non Mechanical service inspections of Ladders, Steps, staging s, Tower Components, Accrows, Bandstands, Chapter 8 Barriers, Site Fencing, Block Grabs, Plant Attachments etc. Requirements: Ideally possess Counterbalance forklift license Knowledge of tool and plant is an advantage Friendly and professional manner Ability to take instruction from senior staff and lead by example High standards of Customer Service Benefits Sales bonus scheme Loyalty bonus scheme Pension - auto enrolment Group Life assurance - 3x salary (once out of probation) 32 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays) Perk Box Birthday Gift 5 day weeks, working hours: Monday to Friday 07:00am to 17:00pm
