Contracts Manager Reporting To: Roofing Director We are looking for an experienced and commercially focused Contracts Manager to take ownership of the successful delivery of client contracts, ensuring projects are delivered safely, to a high standard, on programme and within budget. This is a key operational role, acting as the main point of contact for clients and providing leadership to Site Managers, Project Managers, TLOs, operatives, subcontractors and other stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Take overall responsibility for the effective management and delivery of client contracts, ensuring agreed KPIs, quality standards, programmes and contractual requirements are achieved. Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, residents, subcontractors and other key stakeholders. Lead and support operational teams, ensuring resources, labour and subcontractors are effectively planned and managed. Monitor contract performance, costs, risks and opportunities, taking corrective action where required. Work closely with the Commercial Manager and wider commercial team to ensure contracts are delivered profitably and contractual entitlements are protected. Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with health and safety, quality and environmental requirements, maintaining a strong zero-tolerance approach to health and safety. Develop programmes of work, resource plans and operational reports, providing clear performance information to senior management. Lead client and operational performance meetings and ensure actions are effectively communicated and followed through. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, innovation and business development. Coach and develop team members, promoting accountability, collaboration and high performance. Ensure the team consistently delivers on commitments made to clients and maintains a strong focus on customer and resident satisfaction. About You We are looking for someone with strong experience in contract or operational management, ideally within a construction, housing, maintenance, facilities or related environment. You will be: Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets, costs and contract performance. An excellent communicator and relationship builder with strong client-facing skills. A confident leader who can motivate, coach and develop teams. Highly organised, able to manage competing priorities and make effective decisions under pressure. Proactive in identifying risks, opportunities and improvements. Committed to high standards of health and safety, quality and customer service. Comfortable working collaboratively with commercial, operational and senior management teams. DLP Services Northern Ltd has long term opportunities for Roofing Site Managers on a number of social housing-based construction sites. Working on residential properties to renew and refurbish roofs and roofline, you will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of Health and Safety are adhered to at all times, overseeing all subcontractors on site (planning, review, deliver and sign off inspection) whilst liaising with the clients. Prior experience of re-roofing contracts is desirable. Location: North West Based (covering Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside); Full UK Driving Licence Salary: £37,000 £45,000 dependant on experience / qualifications Hours of Work: 40 hours per week (core hours 8am 4:30pm; 30mins lunch); Monday Friday Remuneration Package: 25 holidays per annum (plus statutory bank holiday); Uniform, laptop, phone and vehicle allowance or company vehicle. Site Manager Role and Responsibilities: Managing and coordinating all site teams. Managing programme delivery (including material orders, skips etc.). Weekly labour, progress and KPI reporting. Enforcing and monitoring Health and Safety procedures and CDM regulations. Conducting quality and safety inspections daily (including accessing ladders and scaffolds). Day to day problem solving. Liaising with clients and reporting on progress. Using specialist project management computer programmes (Teams, Iplanned, Northgate). Working on site in all weathers, at clients businesses or in a site office. Essential Qualifications: Roofing knowledge and experience required. Site Management Safety Training Scheme SMSTS (if expired to be covered by DLP). CISRS Scaffold Inspection (if expired to be covered by DLP). First Aid at Work (if expired to be covered by DLP). Desirable Qualifications: Asbestos Awareness Working at Heights Manual Handling refresher training will be provided The Applicant Will Need: Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
