Manage workshop and yard colleagues, providing leadership and direction. Oversee fault finding and inspect machinery returning from off-hire. Ensure all machinery is maintained in accordance with scheduled service requirements. Supervise the repair and refurbishment of components and machinery. Allocate resources effectively as jobs arise to ensure operational efficiency. Review and assess recorded information relating to machinery damage. Maintain accurate and up-to-date service schedules. Oversee yard operatives, coordinating machinery movements in and out of the yard and within the yard area. Conduct monthly stock takes to ensure accuracy of inventory counts. Carry out monthly Health & Safety walkarounds. Ensure staff training remains current and is renewed where required. Order parts and manage supplier relationships as needed. Monitor cost control and minimise operational spend. Ensure Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) are followed at all times. Perform regular checks of records (e.g. workshop equipment calibration, inspection and testing compliance). Qualifications & Experience Management experience. Relevant IPAF qualification. Team supervision / leadership skills Strong health and safety awareness. Ideally holding IOSH Managing Safely certification.
