About the Role We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Architectural Technician to join a Group Technical team based in Birmingham. This is a key role supporting the delivery of high-quality residential developments across multiple regional businesses. Working at Group level, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining standard house type portfolios, producing technical drawing packages, supporting planning and construction teams, and ensuring compliance with current Building Regulations, legislation, and company standards. You will work closely with regional technical teams, consultants, and other departments to drive consistency, quality, and innovation throughout the business. Key Responsibilities Develop, coordinate and maintain the company's portfolio of standard house types and apartment designs. Produce and review detailed architectural and technical drawings using AutoCAD (and Revit where applicable). Ensure all drawings comply with Building Regulations, NHBC requirements, planning approvals, and relevant legislation. Coordinate information with structural, civil, M&E and external design consultants. Support regional technical teams by providing technical guidance and resolving design queries. Review regional drawing packages to ensure consistency with Group standards. Assist in the preparation of technical information for planning, Building Control and construction. Monitor legislative and regulatory changes, ensuring company standards remain compliant. Contribute to the continuous improvement of standard details, construction methods and technical specifications. Support value engineering initiatives while maintaining quality, compliance and customer expectations. Participate in design reviews and technical workshops with internal stakeholders. Provide mentoring and technical support to junior technicians and members of the wider technical team. Assist with the implementation of digital design processes and document management systems. Liaise with procurement, commercial, construction, sales and customer care teams to ensure coordinated project delivery. Promote best practice in design quality, buildability, sustainability and health and safety. Skills & Experience Essential Significant experience as an Architectural Technician within the UK residential housebuilding sector. Strong understanding of timber frame and traditional construction methods. Excellent knowledge of UK Building Regulations, NHBC Standards and planning requirements. Advanced AutoCAD skills. Ability to produce accurate technical and construction drawings. Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities. Full UK driving licence. Desirable CIAT membership or working towards chartered status. Knowledge of modern methods of construction (MMC). Understanding of sustainability standards, Part L, Future Homes Standard and low-carbon construction. Experience working across multiple regional businesses or within a Group Technical function.

Drylining Estimator Location: Midlands (Office-based) Salary: 55,000 - 65,000 We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established interior fit-out specialist with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality drylining, suspended ceilings, SFS, partitions and interior finishing packages across the commercial construction sector. With continued growth, a strong pipeline of secured work and long-standing relationships with leading main contractors and developers, the business is looking to appoint an experienced Drylining Estimator to strengthen its pre-construction team. The Role As Drylining Estimator, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for a range of commercial projects, working closely with the commercial and operational teams to secure profitable new business. Key Responsibilities Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation. Measure and price drylining, ceilings, partitions, SFS and associated interior packages. Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions. Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. Identify value engineering opportunities where appropriate. Liaise with clients, consultants and the internal project delivery team throughout the tender process. Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings when required. Support successful handovers to the commercial and project teams following contract award. About You You'll already have estimating experience within drylining or interior fit-out and be confident pricing projects from first principles. Ideally you'll have: Proven experience estimating drylining and interior fit-out packages. Strong understanding of commercial construction. Excellent numerical and analytical skills. Experience interpreting technical drawings and specifications. Good knowledge of estimating software and Microsoft Office. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an organised and proactive Assistant Materials Buyer to join our Commercial team. The Role Reporting to the Senior Buyer/Procurement Manager, you will support the procurement function by assisting with the purchasing of materials and supplies required for residential construction projects. Key Responsibilities Assist in sourcing and purchasing construction materials in line with project requirements. Raise and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently. Obtain and compare supplier quotations to ensure best value. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. Monitor material deliveries and resolve any supply issues. Ensure procurement records and databases are kept up to date. Support cost-saving initiatives and supplier negotiations. Liaise with site teams, commercial staff, and suppliers to ensure materials are delivered on time. Assist with supplier performance reviews and reporting. Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and policies. About You The successful candidate will have: Previous experience in a buying, procurement, purchasing, or administrative role. Experience within housebuilding, construction, or building materials is desirable but not essential. Strong organisational and administrative skills. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. Good commercial awareness and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
