Project Manager The Opportunity Our client, an established and growing project management consultancy, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of major construction and infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a consultancy delivering complex, high-value projects on behalf of its clients, with individual project values ranging from 5m to 100m. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project delivery, ideally with experience working in a client-side or consultancy environment. A sound understanding of NEC contracts and the ability to manage projects through the full delivery lifecycle would be highly advantageous. The Role Working closely with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams, you will take responsibility for managing projects from initial planning and design through to construction, completion and handover. You will provide effective project leadership, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities Manage the delivery of construction and infrastructure projects valued between 5m and 100m. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing project management and delivery support. Oversee project planning, design, procurement, construction and handover activities. Manage project programmes, budgets, risks and change control processes. Administer and manage NEC contracts, including early warnings and compensation events where applicable. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants and key stakeholders. Monitor project performance and provide regular progress reports to senior management and clients. Identify and manage project risks, implementing appropriate mitigation measures. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, health and safety requirements and quality standards. Support the successful delivery of projects against agreed commercial and programme objectives. About You We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who can demonstrate: A proven track record of delivering construction or infrastructure projects valued between 5m and 100m. Experience working within a consultancy or client-side project management environment, ideally. A strong understanding of project management principles and the full project lifecycle. Experience working with NEC contracts, ideally NEC3 or NEC4. Strong commercial awareness, including budget management, risk management and change control. Experience managing contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary project teams. Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills. The ability to manage complex projects and work effectively within a client-facing environment. A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline would be advantageous. What's on Offer? Competitive day rate, inside IR35. Mechanical Contracts Manager Our client, a growing SME mechanical building-services subcontractor, is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious business with a strong reputation for technical expertise, quality and reliable project delivery. The Role You will oversee multiple mechanical projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required standards. Working closely with the Head of Operations and Company Director, you will support project and site teams while maintaining relationships with clients, main contractors, consultants, designers, subcontractors and suppliers. Key Responsibilities Manage mechanical projects from pre-construction through to handover. Support project teams with programmes, costs, procurement, resources and delivery. Monitor progress, key dates, project risks and commercial performance. Lead project and client meetings. Manage subcontractors, suppliers and specialist contractors. Review mechanical drawings, specifications and design information. Liaise with consultants and design teams to resolve technical queries. Provide practical technical guidance to project and site teams. Monitor costs, variations, additional works and procurement. Ensure compliance with company procedures, contractual obligations, quality requirements and health and safety standards. Review inspection plans, commissioning information and completion records. Report project progress to the senior management team. Experience and Skills Experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager, Mechanical Project Manager, Senior Mechanical Engineer or similar. Strong mechanical building-services knowledge. Experience delivering mechanical projects from commencement to completion. Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, specifications and technical information. Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers and project teams. Good commercial awareness and contract-management knowledge. Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities. Full UK driving licence. Desirable HNC, HND or degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services. SMSTS and an appropriate CSCS card. AutoCAD, Revit or BIM experience. Knowledge of NEC or JCT contracts. Design-and-build project experience.
