Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Planner to join our Programmes team and play a key role in coordinating operational activities, resource scheduling and project mobilisation across multiple workstreams. Responsibilities Coordinate and maintain operational programmes, ensuring work is planned in line with business priorities, resource availability and customer requirements. Support the scheduling and sequencing of works to maximise operational efficiency and productivity. Identify planning constraints, dependencies and readiness issues that may impact delivery. Allocate work activities and maintain accurate planning records and programme information. Support the mobilisation of projects by ensuring required planning inputs, approvals and prerequisites are in place. Monitor resource availability and utilisation, supporting effective workforce and subcontractor planning. Coordinate material requirements and support work readiness activities. Communicate programme updates and scheduling changes with operational teams and stakeholders. Support planning administration, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives across the business. Contribute to the successful delivery of projects through accurate planning, coordination and communication. Skills Required Experience in planning, scheduling, programme coordination or operational support within utilities, infrastructure, construction or a similar environment. Understanding of operational planning, resource scheduling and programme coordination principles. Knowledge of utility operations, streetworks and operational delivery processes. Experience coordinating direct labour, subcontractors or operational resources. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing demands. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate programme information. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to identify risks, constraints and operational challenges and escalate where appropriate. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to supporting delivery. Ability to work collaboratively within a busy operational environment. Educational Requirements Relevant experience in planning, scheduling, programme coordination or operational administration. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in securing new business by developing accurate, competitive and commercially robust tender submissions that support sustainable growth. Responsibilities Manage Commercial, Industrial and EVC enquiries from qualification through to submission, negotiation and post-tender follow-up. Assess customer requirements, bid suitability, commercial viability and strategic fit of opportunities. Review drawings, specifications, schedules, utility requirements and contract documentation to establish project scope. Produce detailed cost estimates covering labour, materials, plant, civils, utility infrastructure, specialist equipment and subcontract services. Obtain, evaluate and incorporate supplier and subcontractor quotations into tender submissions. Coordinate technical, commercial, operational and procurement inputs to develop comprehensive tender solutions. Prepare tender submissions including assumptions, qualifications, exclusions and clarifications. Identify scope gaps, risks, opportunities, programme constraints and value engineering solutions. Review commercial and contractual requirements, highlighting liabilities and non-standard obligations. Support customer engagement, clarification meetings and commercial negotiations. Maintain accurate tender, pipeline and reporting information within Salesforce and estimating systems. Complete structured handovers for awarded projects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Skills Required Proven estimating experience within utilities, electrical infrastructure, industrial, commercial, construction or Electric Vehicle Charging projects. Strong experience preparing detailed cost build-ups, tenders, qualifications and commercially robust submissions. Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, technical information, scope documents and customer requirements. Working knowledge of civils, utility infrastructure and LV/HV electrical systems. Strong understanding of EVC infrastructure and associated utility interfaces. Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify risks, opportunities, scope gaps and contractual considerations. Experience obtaining, evaluating and incorporating supplier and subcontractor quotations, reviewing contractual requirements and supporting commercial risk assessments. Excellent communication and negotiation skills with customers, consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders. Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving capabilities with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate submissions against deadlines. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word. Experience using Salesforce, estimating software and reporting systems. Experience within ICP, IDNO, DNO, multi-utility or private network projects would be advantageous. Experience developing estimating benchmarks, templates and process improvements would be beneficial. Educational Requirements Relevant industry experience or professional qualifications within utilities, electrical infrastructure, industrial, commercial, construction, engineering or estimating environments.
