About the job We are currently delivering the redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site located in Plymouth and we are seeking a Quality Engineer. Due to the site being a high Security Military Naval base, additional security checks will need to be made SC level of security clearance is required . These checks can take up to 8 weeks to process. Eligibility criteria: Candidates must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years. About the role As an experienced Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for the following: Ensuring that an effective Management System is being operated and maintained at all levels. Providing an independent channel of communication on quality, initiating necessary action to resolve deficiencies and ensuring satisfactory solutions have been achieved. Ensuring internal audits are undertaken in accordance with the Audit Schedule and that any adverse findings, including those raised by others, are closed out in a timely manner. Preparing, reviewing and evaluating Inspection & Test plans including those of sub-contractors. Aiding the delivery teams in ensuring timely progressive sign-off of the ITP s by attending weekly meetings with the Client. Ensuring the material approval process is maintained by the inspection of materials delivered, meeting project requirements and all appropriate certification is obtained and tracked. Reviewing Lifetime Records throughout the progression of the works and supporting timely submission of handover packages. Providing guidance and assistance on Quality matters. Providing site training/mentoring on the requirements of the Management Systems. Encouraging feedback from all employees and sub-contractors on possible areas of improvement and investigating the benefit of any employee recommendations regarding Quality matters. Evaluating Non-conformances to identify any apparent trends and providing timely reports on NCR status and trends to the Project Manager and the company Q&E Manager. About the role As an experienced Electrical Package Manager, you will be responsible for the following: • Ensure all works are procured, planned and carried out safely in accordance with project requirements and UK law. • Review designs with the design teams and client to ensure they are optimised for efficient and safe construction, fully compliant with standards and contract requirements. • Manage robust change control and manage risk and opportunity. • As required, provide accurate and timely information to the project management team for both site progress and financial reporting • Manage the successful completion of the project/area under control in line with agreed quality and commercial plans to achieve targets within agreed timescales and cost constraints. About the job We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented experienced Site Engineer to join our dynamic team delivering the redevelopment project at Devonport, Dockyard. The successful candidate will be working on one of the UK s most significant defence programmes. As a Site Engineer, you'll be working within the Devonport Dockyard team, assisting the Engineer in managing the technical compliance of the project to the design specification to fulfil the assigned project (or section) safely, on time and to the required quality. Due to the sensitive nature of the site, BPSS security clearance is required . Please note that this process can take up to 8 weeks. About the role As an experienced Site Engineer, you will be responsible for the following: • Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings. • Assist in establishing effective systems to record work completed updating the Project Quality Plan accordingly. • Participate in developing quality check sheets and carrying quality checks & surveys. • Assisting with site safety, environmental & quality inspections. • To assist in managing systems to enable the progress of work to be reviewed against time, quality, dimensions, and quantity. • Assist in the recording and testing of workmanship and materials, i.e., drainage, concrete, piling, brickwork etc. • Assist in providing engineering support to ensure technical problems are overcome and technical queries are answered. • Responsible for setting out works constructed within allowable tolerances, from a provided site control. • Regularly checking the setting out points and benchmarks and checking that all setting out instruments and measuring equipment are delivered to site with a calibration certificate and recorded accordingly. • Completing Daily Diaries. • Keeping trackers up to date. • Assist in procurement of site materials and equipment. • Ensures workforce understand setting out information has been identified as suitable for the type of work being carried out. • Assist in the preparation of sketches for distribution on site, ensuring clear communication channels are in place for effective understanding. • To be aware of the provisions of the Kier Safety, Health, and Environmental Management System and to assist in its implementation to ensure a safe working environment. • Maintain drawing register.
