My client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor of somewhere between intermediate and senior level- 3-10 year's experience. This contractor comprises a group of business with a combined turnover of 50 m and I am looking for someone who can introduce, implement and manage the commercial success of projects within diamond drilling and steel works- architectural and structural. You don't necessarily need experience in the above sectors. The key is the desire to progress quickly within a business where your efforts will be pivotal to the contractor's success going forward. The opportunity to climb the career ladder is genuine and achievable. Typically, you will spend 2-3 days in the office and 1-2 days on site- all of my clients projects are within an hour of St Albans. The base salary is anywhere between 45k-75k and this is dependent on relevant experience. I have been asked to find a Senior Quantity Surveyor from a reinforced concrete/groundworks contracting background for my client- an RC frame specialist operating across the country. For this opportunity you will be working on projects in the West Midlands. These could be in the residential, commercial or infrastructure sectors. Typically, packages are anywhere between 10 m - 30 m and can go beyond this on infrastructure schemes. This contractor has a 130 m turnover and has experienced sustained annual growth- even during the last couple of years which have been particularly challenging. Ideally you will have at least 5 years with a reinforced concrete contractor and at least 10 years experience overall- I am looking for applicants that are confident, experienced and can operate in a professional and competent manner. You could work as part of a team but may also have overall commercial responsibility for projects. Reporting to the Commercial Director you will be given everything you need to be successful in the role.
