They are a Tier two Civil Engineering contractor with operations across the north and north west of England This can be either on a permanent or contract basis. Details are as follows: The scheme is a £10 million Public Realm scheme (Civils Paving, surfacing, drainage, signage) and will last for approximately 12 months. The project is in Leeds City Centre and is being undertaken for the local authority. I am looking or Planners with the following experience: Primavera P6 proficiency Civil Engineering contractor experience (could have an engineering background) NEC contract experience in relation to programme submission. My client works within the groundworks and RC frame sector and has projects in the residential, commercial and infrastructure sectors. This is not a standard Contracts Manager role as it could lead to promotion to Operations Director within a relatively narrow time-frame. The current Ops Director is looking for someone to work very closely with them in managing and improving this already successful business. You will be responsible for managing and allocation of labour and resources to sites along with general day to day management of several projects. My client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor of somewhere between intermediate and senior level- 3-10 year's experience. This contractor comprises a group of business with a combined turnover of 50 m and I am looking for someone who can introduce, implement and manage the commercial success of projects within structural alterations, diamond drilling and steel works- architectural and structural. You don't necessarily need experience in the above sectors although experience from subcontracting will certainly be very useful. The key is the desire to progress quickly within a business where your efforts will be pivotal to the contractor's success going forward. The opportunity to climb the career ladder is genuine and achievable. Typically, you will spend 2-3 days in the office and 1-2 days on site- all of my clients projects are within an hour of St Albans. The base salary is anywhere between 55k-85k and this is dependent on relevant experience. I have been asked to find a QS with 2-3 year's experience to work on Cut and carve (structural alteration) projects in central London. This opportunity is somewhere between assistant and intermediate level and the contractor is of a size that will allow you to progress your career quickly should you demonstrate the aptitude for the role. The successful applicant will spend 4-5 days on site and one day per week in the office. You will work closely with the Commercial Director and this will give you a direct insight into and knowledge of the company and industry. Ideally, you will have a Quantity Surveying degree, a background in subcontracting- this could be cut and carve, RC structures or groundworks and the desire to join a busy and successful specialist. I am looking to speak with Site Engineers in the Newcastle area who have RC frame subcontracting experience- ideally slipform structures. My client has a package close to Newcastle city centre and the project comprises the structures, stair cores and floors for a new hi-rise residential development. This is an area of Newcastle close to the University. Candidates must have at least 3-5 year's experience and ideally some of this will be with a reinforced concrete structures/groundworks contractor. As well as your daily setting out duties it is important that you are confident with the QA side of the project. The contract will run until at least November, possibly longer. The rate available is between 280- 320 per day and this is dependent on relevant experience.
