Atheray Stone are currently working with a Tier 1 Main Contractor who are looking to add a Health & Safety Advisor to their Head Office team based in Wiltshire. This role will be Head Office based rather than full time on site, but there may be site visits on occasions. The purpose of this role is to directly support the Head of Health & Safety, updating processes and implementing new strategies to establish best outcomes across projects on site which are UK wide includes Wales, Scotland and England. Also to Provide appropriate information, support, assurance and challenge to Project teams to help achieve the contractor requirements and drive continual improvement The ideal candidate will have come from a similar Tier 1 background, ideally on Highways, Tunnelling, Rail, Nuclear or Energy. Candidate Profile: Degree / HNC Qualified in relevant sector Holder of NEBOSH Qualification 2-5 years experience in a H&S Advisor role, ideally with a main contractor Full UK driving licence Able to commute to Wiltshire daily (one day from home after probation) Responsibilities: To assist in the development, management, implementation and monitoring of the Safety, Health and Environmental Management system by updating systems in line with changes in legislation or best practice Assist with development of content for HSE Training and awareness programmes. Assist with the implementation of the behavioural based safety programme BRAVE Carry out inspections and audits in conjunction with appropriate management to ensure Company, Client and legislative requirements are being met and make recommendations for improvement Assist and / or manage with investigating and recording of close call, near miss and other incidents reported within the business. Be honest in discharging your duties as a health and safety professional Assist with the management of key HSE data to enable accurate trend analysis and develop systems to ensure where trends are identified they are met with a suitable response Assist with development of Occupational Health and Wellbeing campaigns increasing awareness within the business Assist the HSE Manager in providing the Work Winning department with health and safety input into Tenders and Pre-qualifications Assist the HSE Manager with the implementation of the Business Strategy relating to Health and Safety. We are currently working with a Tier One main contractor to recruit a Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial delivery on impactful (self delivery) highways projects and help shape the future of their Regional Civil Engineering business. They're looking for an experienced and motivated Managing Quantity Surveyor to take a key leadership role within their Regional Civil Engineering (RCE) team the self delivery arm of the company, where they directly deliver highways and public realm new build, maintenance, and vehicle restraint systems (VRS) work using their own in house teams. What You Will Do In this role, you'll take commercial ownership of a portfolio of ( self delivery) highways schemes , working closely with the in house operational teams to deliver high quality outcomes across the region. Drive full commercial governance across your projects including NEC contract management, forecasting, reporting, and proactive risk and opportunity management. Responsibilities: Evaluation of project contract documents in order to build and maintain detailed programmes specifying time and resource requirements Assist the Package Manager as directed with planning related matters for the project. Review construction progress with input from the construction team, update programmes and produce reports as necessary Collation of progress information & production of progress reporting as required including Weekly Progress Report, Weekly Work Plan (CRL), Monthly Dashboard (CRL) Highlight areas of concern with regard to construction progress and review mitigation measures with the Planning Lead and Construction Team.
