Assistant Site Manager Location: Burnley, Lancs V-Recruit are looking for an Assistant Site Manager to start work on a project in Burnley, Lancashire ASAP. Our client is a Landscaping Contractor, specialising in Hard and Soft Landscaping and grounds maintenance and have a key project in Burnley starting in early March for a duration of 6 months. This permanent role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is wanting to progress into site and project management, and our client are open to applications from candidates who are wanting to step up into management from a groundworks or landscaping role, or develop their management skills Your main duties will be to work alongside the current site manager, completing most of the IT-based tasks and supporting with the day to day running of the project. 30-35k per annum, depending on experience. V-Recruit are currently working alongside a reputable and longstanding Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance contractor to recruit an experienced Commercial Landscape Supervisor, to work within the Landscaping teams on projects mainly around Yorkshire. Our client undertakes all aspects of commercial and domestic landscaping in and around Yorkshire, including hard and soft landscaping, tree surgery, grounds maintenance and fence erecting. We are looking for an experienced soft landscaping supervisor with commercial experience. Your duties would include working on site on the tools, whilst managing a team of three to four Operatives on various commercial projects. Completing all aspects of turfing, seeding, planting shrubs, flower beds, trees etc. Occasionally managing larger teams of up to a dozen Operatives in busy periods throughout the summer. You will be required to follow risk assessments and method statements to ensure safe, efficient working. 14.50 per hour This is a temp to perm/perm opportunity for the right candidate Working hours are 7.45am - 4.30pm (Friday 3.30pm finish) 39 hours paid per week Key Responsibilities Supervise and lead landscaping teams on commercial contracts and project sites Enforce health & safety procedures, including site inspections and toolbox talks Ensure safe operation and maintenance of plant, tools, and equipment Plan daily tasks in line with schedules and drawings Ensure all work meets contract specifications, drawings, and quality standards Monitor productivity and ensure efficient use of labour, materials, and machinery to complete works within budget Liaise with and report to site and contract managers Complete site documentation including daily reports, timesheets, and RAMS adjustments if required on site The right candidates will have their CSCS card and a full UK driving licence with access to their own transport due to remote yard location and requirement to drive the company vehicles. We are looking for someone with previous soft landscaping experience. PA Spraying Licences, or any other Landscaping-specific qualifications would be advantageous, although not necessarily required. Any plant machinery tickets and SMSTS or SSSTS would also be advantageous. This is a hands-on leadership role and the successful candidate will have previous proven experience working as a supervisor or team leader, with a minimum of 3 years previous experience working in a similar commercial role. There is much scope for progression with this company; there is potential progression into supervisory roles, or scope for Machinery mechanic/fitter roles for those who are mechanically minded and have some existing mechanical skills i.e. repairs and maintenance on landscaping machinery, such as hedge cutters/pedestrian mowers. Wood Machinist Halifax, West Yorkshire Permanent V-Recruit are currently recruiting for 1 x Skilled Wood Machinist for a Halifax-based client to start work as soon as possible. This is initially a temporary role, but with a view to become permanent for the right candidate. Our client are a longstanding and reputable construction contractor, who work for both private and public sector clients. Your duties will include working within the joinery workshop, as a wood machinist to create high end joinery products and fitments. You will be using traditional joinery wood machines, and potentially CNC router and Edgebander where required. 15- 16 per hour, depending on experience and skills 40+ hours per week, with regular overtime available Free parking The right candidates will have extensive previous experience as a Wood Machinist and must be able to provide relevant references. Ideally, we are looking for City and Guilds Joinery with bench hand and machining experience, including experience using the surface planer, panel saws, spindle moulder etc. if possible. V-Recruit are looking for 1 x CSCS Joiner/Joinery Supervisor with SSSTS to start work on a commercial refurbishment project in Goole, DN14 starting on Monday 18th August. Duties to include all aspects of second and final fix interior joinery works, on a commercial fit out. You will be working alongside/supervising 1-4 additional joiners, ensuring quality workmanship, that work is going to meet deadlines and liaising with site and project managers. Negotiable day/hourly rate Site hours are 7.30am-4pm, Monday to Friday Approx 6 weeks work The right candidate will have their CSCS cards, SSSTS/SMSTS and ideally first aid. PASMA/IPAF is also advantageous. We are looking for a highly experienced joiner, with some ganger/supervisory experience. You will be completing soft stripping duties and some internal demolition. You will be required to carry rubble etc to the skips and carry out other general labouring duties.
