We are looking for an experienced Shuttering Joiner / Formwork Carpenter to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing and dismantling timber and other formwork systems used for reinforced concrete structures. You will need blue CSCS. This is a hands-on site-based role requiring good carpentry skills, attention to detail and the ability to work safely and efficiently as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Set out and construct timber shuttering and formwork to drawings and specifications. Install and dismantle formwork for concrete foundations, walls, columns, beams and slabs. Measure, cut and assemble timber and other materials accurately. Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Ensure formwork is level, plumb, secure and correctly aligned before concrete is poured. Work with steel reinforcement and other trades where required. Inspect completed formwork and rectify any defects or issues. Maintain tools, equipment and the work area in a safe and tidy condition. Follow all site health and safety procedures. Work effectively with site managers, engineers and other trades. Requirements Proven experience as a Shuttering Joiner, Shuttering Carpenter or Formwork Carpenter . Strong knowledge of formwork and concrete construction. Good practical carpentry and measuring skills. Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
