Quantity Surveyor Location: Glasgow (covering projects across Scotland, predominantly the Central Belt) AMB Group are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team and support major projects across Scotland. This role will be predominantly site-based and will involve working on projects from procurement through to final accounts, reporting to a Commercial Manager. Key Responsibilities Manage all commercial aspects of projects from start to finish. Prepare and review contracts, budgets, and cost estimates. Oversee procurement processes and manage subcontractor relationships. Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Prepare and submit accurate financial reports and final accounts. About You Experience with NEC forms of contract . Background in Civil Engineering/Highways (advantageous). Previous experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor and Quantity Surveyor. Accredited course by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) . Role Overview: We are recruiting a Mechanical Project Manager on a contract basis to oversee the delivery of mechanical works on a large-scale hospital development in Bournemouth. Working for a leading contractor within the energy and critical infrastructure / M&E sector, you will be responsible for managing mechanical services from site installation through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget. This is a site-based contract role suited to an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with healthcare or complex project experience, comfortable working in a fast-paced, live environment. Key Responsibilities: • Manage the day-to-day delivery of mechanical services on a hospital project. • Oversee installation of mechanical systems including HVAC, pipework, plant and associated services. • Coordinate mechanical subcontractors, labour and materials on site. • Ensure works are delivered in line with programme, quality standards and budget. • Liaise with project teams, consultants, commercial teams and the client. • Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and site procedures. • Monitor progress, report on milestones and resolve technical or delivery issues. • Support commissioning and handover of mechanical systems. Skills & Experience Required: • Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within M&E / building services. • Previous experience delivering healthcare or hospital projects (highly desirable). • Strong understanding of mechanical building services systems. • Experience managing subcontractors and site teams on complex projects. • Ability to work within live or critical environments. • Strong communication and organisational skills. • Full UK driving licence. • Right to work in the UK and ability to pass a DBS check if required. Site Manager The Site Manager is responsible for managing construction sites to deliver projects in line with customer objectives, while maintaining high standards of health & safety, quality, environmental compliance, programme, and cost control. You will oversee the successful delivery of multiple projects, working closely with the Construction Manager, Works Manager, and site teams to ensure works are completed safely, on time, to specification, and to maximum commercial performance. Key Responsibilities Overall delivery of civils and M&E projects within the Water industry Produce and implement Project Plans, RAMS, ITPs, and other Safe Systems of Work in line with company procedures Ensure compliance with company standards, legal requirements, HSE legislation, and quality controls Carry out and record weekly site inspections Ensure works are delivered in accordance with approved method statements and risk assessments; deliver toolbox talks and briefings Deliver works to the specified quality, free from defects Maximise commercial performance in collaboration with the QS team Support programme development, including construction programmes and 4-week look-ahead plans Produce procurement schedules and coordinate with procurement to ensure adequate site resources Maintain accurate site records and diaries Drive cost control, value engineering, and continuous improvement Essential Requirements Background in Civil Engineering within Water, Utilities, or FRC works, operating in a regulated environment Strong knowledge of CDM regulations, Design Management, programme and risk management, and cost control Experience managing subcontractors and direct labour Competent in producing and implementing Safe Systems of Work Ability to produce, manage, and analyse look-ahead programmes Knowledge of NEC contracts CSCS Site Manager SMSTS / Managing Safely

Project Manager The Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of construction projects within the Water industry, ensuring customer objectives are achieved safely, on time, to the required quality, and within agreed budgets. You will provide overall leadership across planning, commercial performance, health & safety, quality, and programme management, working closely with Construction Managers, Site Managers, commercial teams, and key stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes. Key Responsibilities Full responsibility for the delivery of civils and M&E projects from planning through to completion Lead project planning activities, including construction programmes, 4-week look-ahead schedules, procurement strategies, and resource planning Ensure all project documentation is produced and implemented, including Project Plans, RAMS, ITPs, and Safe Systems of Work, in line with company procedures Ensure full compliance with company standards, legal obligations, CDM regulations, HSE legislation, and quality requirements Provide leadership to site teams, subcontractors, and supply chain partners to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently Monitor and manage project performance against programme, cost, quality, and risk, implementing corrective actions where required Drive high standards of quality, ensuring works are delivered defect-free and in accordance with specifications and testing regimes Maximise commercial performance through cost control, forecasting, value reporting, and identification of value engineering opportunities Work closely with the QS team to manage budgets, variations, and financial reporting Maintain accurate project records, site diaries, and progress reports Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring expectations are met or exceeded Essential Requirements Proven experience delivering civil engineering projects within the Water, Utilities, or regulated infrastructure sectors Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts, CDM regulations, Design Management, programme and risk management Demonstrable experience in cost control, forecasting, value engineering, and commercial reporting Experience managing Site Managers, subcontractors, and direct labour teams Competent in reviewing and approving Safe Systems of Work and project documentation Strong understanding of construction specifications and testing regimes CSCS (Management level) SMSTS / Managing Safely
