We are recruiting for a successful, family-owned business offering a friendly, close-knit working environment where individual contribution is recognised and valued. They are looking for a highly organised and proactive Reactive Works Manager to coordinate commercial M&E and building-maintenance works. This is a fast-paced, predominantly office-based role involving extensive use of MS-Office applications, regular communication with clients, subcontractors and in-house operatives, together with occasional site visits to inspect and survey prospective works. Duties Receiving and assessing client maintenance requests Preparing quotations and obtaining subcontractor prices Coordinating reactive works from instruction through to completion Keeping clients informed and resolving issues promptly Arranging subcontractors, operatives, access and materials Monitoring live jobs, reports and completion documentation Visiting sites when surveys or inspections are required Works will be to; commercial plant rooms, boilers, pumps, plumbing, gas testing, air conditioning, legionella works, electrical repairs, roofing, decorating, flooring and general building-fabric maintenance. The person You will need previous experience in commercial M&E, reactive maintenance, minor works or facilities management. You do not need to be an expert in every trade, but you must understand building services sufficiently well to assess requirements, question subcontractors and coordinate the correct response. A background in commercial plumbing, heating, mechanical services, electrical services, HVAC or multi-skilled building maintenance would be particularly suitable. Also required Strong organisational and prioritisation skills Good commercial awareness and quotation experience Confident client and subcontractor communication Excellent computer, email and administrative ability A positive, resilient and productive approach The ability to remain composed when priorities change A full UK driving licence This position would suit an experienced building-services professional who has moved from the tools into coordination, supervision or small-works management. With interviews available from Monday the 3rd of August, salary is 45k to 50k + company car.

The house, a bungalow with bespoke glazing and contemporary high-end interiors is being built for a private client by the residential main contractor based in High Wycombe we are recruiting for. Around 1.5 million worth of builder's works. This is a new build scheme requiring the ability to bring a job out of the ground and drive it through, maintaining programme to finishes and handover.
