The site is already around 3 months into construction , with the early civil works under way. You will pick up the civils package from its current stage and drive it through to completion. This role offers continuity and involvement in a major infrastructure build with significant remaining scope. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day site operations across SSE projects, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of works. Operate under CAT3 Authorisation, taking responsibility for site safety, control of works, and compliance within SSE network requirements. Ensure all works comply with SSE standards, CDM 2015, HSG47, and relevant industry regulations. Coordinate civil and/or electrical installation activities including ducting, trenching, reinstatement, substations, cabling, joint bays, and associated infrastructure. Lead site teams and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to RAMS, permit systems, and quality standards. Conduct site briefings, toolbox talks, and daily activity coordination meetings. Monitor programme, resources, and productivity to meet project milestones. Liaise with SSE representatives, Project Managers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure collaborative delivery. Manage inspections, audits, and documentation including ITPs, permits, and as-built records. Identify and mitigate risks in live operational environments.

Key Responsibilities Supervise daily site activities across SSE projects, ensuring works are delivered safely and efficiently. Operate under CAT3 Authorisation, maintaining control of works in accordance with SSE safety rules and procedures. Ensure full compliance with RAMS, permits, and safe systems of work. Oversee civil works (ducting, trenching, reinstatement, joint bays, substations, concrete bases) and/or electrical works (cable installation, terminations, plant installation) depending on bias. Monitor subcontractors and operatives to ensure quality standards and productivity targets are achieved. Deliver toolbox talks, daily briefings, and safety stand-downs as required. Conduct site inspections, audits, and quality checks in line with ITPs. Maintain accurate site records including diaries, progress updates, and permit documentation. Identify hazards and implement corrective actions in live operational environments. Liaise with Site Manager, SSE representatives, and other stakeholders to coordinate works.

LOCATION: Wiltshire DURATION: 18 Months The right candidates will need to have the following: - SSE Substation Entry CAT 3A Authorisation - SSSTS accredited - CSCS accredited - Strong H&S awareness and First Aid - Site engineering experience to facilitate substation civils and electrical works - Civils and/or High Voltage, 132kV, 400kV, Electrical experience around Capital Delivery Competitive day rate, 18 month contract, interviewing ASAP.
