About You We're interested in hearing from both established estimators and candidates looking to develop into the role. You may already have experience in construction estimating, or you could be working in a related construction role with the ambition to move into a more commercially focused position. Ideally, you'll bring some of the following: Experience in commercial construction, specialist contracting or a related industry. The ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. An understanding of construction methods, materials, labour costs and subcontractor pricing. Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail. Good written and verbal communication skills. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines. Experience with construction estimating software would be advantageous, but is not essential for the right trainee candidate.
