Roadworker To assist in the provision of highway maintenance and construction. 3 Months Contract £15.06 Per Hour 7-30am till 4pm Main Duties These are some of the typical duties you will be expected to perform. This is not exhaustive, and you may need to complete similar tasks as required. To undertake a range of advanced highways tasks e.g. excavation, labouring, laying and compacting stone, laying and compacting tarmac, laying concrete, drainage gullies and ducts, complex deep drainage. To undertake traffic management associated with highway functions, involving the use and interpretation of plans and drawings. To be responsible for the identification of underground services during the execution of highways duties. To provide advice and guidance to other employees as required, ensuring work is carried out in accordance with instructions. To use and maintain a variety of construction light plant and tools. To transport tools and materials, and drive allocated vehicles and light plant as required, undertaking appropriate daily checks and maintaining associated records. Premises Manager 21.65 per hour 37 hours per week 3 Months Contract Premises Manager Arrange for required works in relation to general premises maintenance (i.e. door and roofing repairs). Undertake and record accurately weekly and monthly checks on fire alarms, emergency lighting, fire exits, office torches and also the testing of fire extinguishers etc. Organisation and co-ordination of emergency planning activity (such as fire drills) and liaising with Council colleagues in relation to business continuity where appropriate. Premises Manager willLiaise with colleagues in relation to the management of asbestos and legionella in Port premises and the maintenance of associated logbooks and registers.
