Key Responsibilities Lead electrical design from concept to completion for a variety of projects. Produce design drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, and load calculations. Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations, BS standards, and CIBSE guidance. Mentor and guide junior engineers, supporting their professional growth. Attend site visits, client meetings, and liaise with statutory bodies. Prepare technical reports, specifications, and tender documentation. Support feasibility studies, energy assessments, and sustainable design initiatives. Requirements Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or equivalent. Proven senior-level experience in building services electrical design. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, and electrical design/calculation tools. This forward-thinking property and construction consultancy provides exceptional cost and project management services across a wide range of sectors, with typical project values ranging from £5-15M and some schemes reaching up to £80M. Recent and current projects include: - National retail fit-outs for leading high-street brands - Large-scale F&F and refurbishment schemes - Student accommodation developments - Care home and healthcare projects The Role We re looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Employer s Agent (6 10 years experience) who can hit the ground running. You ll take ownership of projects from inception to completion, managing costs, contracts and client relationships with autonomy and confidence. Key Responsibilities: Deliver pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying services across multiple sectors. Act as Employer s Agent on design and build projects. Manage cost planning, tendering, and contract administration. Oversee valuations, variations, and final accounts. Build and maintain strong client and contractor relationships. Mentor junior team members and help establish best practice within the consultancy. About You 6 10 years experience in Quantity Surveying or Employer s Agent roles. Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. MRICS-qualified or actively working towards chartership (preferred).
