Closing date: 21/11/2025 Role Overview The Construction Director will lead the delivery of high-quality infrastructure projects across the region, ensuring compliance, stakeholder satisfaction, and value for money. This strategic role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage complex construction programmes from inception to completion. Key Responsibilities Business & Strategic Management Prepare and present monthly construction progress reports to the Board. Act as the primary contact for construction-related matters, escalating issues as needed. Chair monthly Construction Delivery Meetings. Ensure Health & Safety compliance across all projects in coordination with partners and supply chain. Project Mobilisation & Development Lead mobilisation of construction teams for new projects. Oversee discharge of planning conditions and statutory compliance. Engage with local communities and stakeholders to support project integration. Project Delivery & Compliance Manage Project Managers to ensure timely and quality delivery. Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, Fire Safety, and Insurance requirements. Oversee contract completion processes and certification. Coordinate production of Building Manuals and O&M documentation. Ensure Collateral Warranties are secured for certification. Liaise with FM and ICT providers to ensure infrastructure acceptance and risk mitigation. Manage early occupation logistics and FF&E integration. Lead snagging and handover processes with stakeholders. Audit temporary arrangements for Health & Safety compliance. Value for Money & Commercial Oversight Lead change control processes and communicate impacts to consortium partners. Monitor project budgets and ensure cost-effective delivery. Person Specification Degree-qualified in Construction Management, Project Management, or Quantity Surveying. Proven experience in leading large-scale infrastructure projects. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills. In-depth knowledge of statutory compliance, contract management, and construction best practices.
