This role will work closely with both the Business Development and Commercial departments to ensure accurate, competitive, and commercially sound pricing across a variety of projects. A strong understanding of the social housing sector is essential. Experience within the fire safety industry is highly desirable, but we are open to candidates from a general construction background who can demonstrate solid knowledge of social housing requirements and challenges. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for incoming projects based on specifications, drawings, and client requirements Collaborate with Business Development to assess tender opportunities and support bid submissions Work alongside the Commercial team to ensure pricing strategies align with business goals Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations Maintain and update cost databases and pricing models Attend site visits and client meetings to gather information and clarify project scope Ensure all estimates comply with relevant regulations and industry standards Candidate Profile Proven experience as an Estimator within construction, ideally with exposure to social housing projects Knowledge of fire safety works such as fire doors, alarms, and compartmentation is a strong advantage Strong analytical and numerical skills with a high level of attention to detail Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines effectively Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office applications Qualifications Relevant qualifications in construction, quantity surveying, or a related field Membership of a professional body such as RICS or CIOB is beneficial but not essential

Key Responsibilities: Carry out a range of repairs and maintenance work across various trades, including plumbing, carpentry, tiling, plastering, and decorating. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure work is completed in line with health and safety standards. Work efficiently to ensure that all properties meet the required housing standards and are safe, functional, and habitable. Liaise directly with tenants to schedule and complete maintenance tasks with minimal disruption. Manage materials and equipment required for tasks, ensuring cost efficiency. Ensure all documentation and reports are accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner. Key Requirements: Proven experience in multiple trades (plumbing, carpentry, tiling, plastering, and/or decorating). A valid driving license, as travel between properties is required. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently. Covering Kent and Sussex Duties will include: Being the main point of contact between Technical Compliance Team / NICEIC / SHE / Managers and where appropriate the client. Carry out Risk Assessments for Electrical works and staff Verifying all electricians inspection & testing results whether electronically or on paper in a timely manner to prevent delays ensuring that due care and attention is maintained to prevent any potential electrical issues. Skills required for this job role consist of: Experience with installing, servicing and maintaining electrical systems and appliances in accordance with the current Edition of The IET Wiring Regulations Experience of supervising a team of Electricians including developing and training apprentices Knowledge of installations, repair, inspect & test electrical installations and the ability to complete appropriate Electrical Certificate or Electrical Condition Report Full Electrical qualifications including 2391, NVQ3, 18th Edition , Supervisor Experience.
