This role is focused on the social housing sector , ensuring electrical systems and appliances in both domestic and commercial properties are installed, serviced, and maintained to the highest standards in line with the current Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations . Key Responsibilities Carry out Health and Safety risk assessments on site and ensure compliance at all times. Undertake routine maintenance, servicing, and fault-finding on electrical systems and appliances. Install new electrical systems, wiring, and fittings in domestic and commercial properties. Replace and upgrade electrical sockets, switches, lighting, and other fittings. Diagnose and repair electrical faults quickly and effectively. Report and document any faulty appliances or installations that do not comply with current regulations. Read and interpret job outline tickets, drawings, and technical documentation. Liaise with tenants, housing officers, and colleagues to ensure clear communication and customer satisfaction. Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order. Work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality results within deadlines. Qualifications & Skills NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent. City & Guilds 18th Edition (IET Wiring Regulations). Testing & Inspection qualification (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent) desirable. Proven experience working within the social housing sector or similar environment. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, appliances, and safety standards. Clean UK driving licence. Clean DBS check. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Positive attitude with strong problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Repairs Supervisor - Social Housing Maintenance My client is a leading Social Housing Contractor delivering Reactive Maintenance Contracts. Following a number of new contract gains they are currently in need of a Repairs/Contracts Supervisor . Duties; To provide day to day, on site supervision of works carried out Quoting new works Knowledge of coding up works and quoting using NHF SoRs Ensuring all contract KPI targets are met Monitoring progress of the contract to ensure the completed works are correct and to the agreed standard Monitoring quality, safety and environment and promote a safety culture within the business Managing / liaising with a team of Supervisors, Administrators and Resident Liaison Officers to ensure contractual expectations are met along with responsibility for recruitment retention, training and development of employees Ensuring works are completed on time and to a high quality standard To complete time sheets and work sheets and reports as required Working as an integral team member as well as a mentor and coach to apprentices and colleagues Ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role in social housing. Key Responsibilities: Carry out a range of repairs and maintenance work across various trades, including plumbing, carpentry, tiling, plastering, and decorating. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure work is completed in line with health and safety standards. Work efficiently to ensure that all properties meet the required housing standards and are safe, functional, and habitable. Liaise directly with tenants to schedule and complete maintenance tasks with minimal disruption. Manage materials and equipment required for tasks, ensuring cost efficiency. Ensure all documentation and reports are accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner. Key Requirements: Proven experience in multiple trades (plumbing, carpentry, tiling, plastering, and/or decorating). A valid driving license, as travel between properties is required. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently. Our client is looking for an Electrical Supervisor to assist both on site for their contract in Sussex and in office in Sittingbourne. 18Recruitment are working with a leading Social Housing contractor, to recruit an Electrical Qualifying Supervisor to join their team on a long term reactive maintenance contract. Covering Kent and Sussex Duties will include: Being the main point of contact between Technical Compliance Team / NICEIC / SHE / Managers and where appropriate the client. Carry out Risk Assessments for Electrical works and staff Verifying all electricians inspection & testing results whether electronically or on paper in a timely manner to prevent delays ensuring that due care and attention is maintained to prevent any potential electrical issues.
