Job Title: Banksman / Digger Driver Department: Civil Works / Utilities Reports To: Site Supervisor / Foreman Location: Various construction sites Prime Workforce is currently looking for 2x 3-Man Pipe Laying Squads. The 3 Man team would consist of 1. Excavator Driver 2. Pipe Layer 3. Banksman /Dumper Driver. Job Purpose: To act as a site Banksman for vehicle and excavator movements, ensuring safe operations around plant and personnel, while also operating machinery when required. Key Responsibilities: Direct and guide excavators and vehicles safely during operations. Maintain clear communication with machine operators using standard signals or radios. Ensure excavation areas are properly cordoned and safe for workers. Operate plant equipment (when required and certified) in a safe and efficient manner. Assist with loading, backfilling, or material handling as instructed. Monitor trench safety, edge protection, and exclusion zones. Report hazards or unsafe acts immediately to the Site Supervisor. Support general site duties when not banking or operating. Skills & Qualifications: Valid CPCS/NPORS Banksman and Excavator operator cards. Experience working around plant in live construction environments. Strong communication and safety awareness. CSCS card required. Job Title: Pipe Layer Department: Civil Works / Utilities Reports To: Site Supervisor / Foreman Location: Various construction sites Prime Workforce is currently looking for 2x 3-Man Pipe Laying Squads. The 3 Man team would consist of 1. Excavator Driver 2. Pipe Layer 3. Banksman /Dumper Driver. Job Purpose: To carry out installation of underground pipes (e.g., water, drainage, or ducting) to specified alignment, level, and gradient. Key Responsibilities: Lay pipes to correct line and level as directed by site drawings or supervisor. Prepare and bed pipes using appropriate materials and techniques. Connect pipes using correct jointing methods and ensure watertight seals. Check levels, gradients, and alignment using laser levels or sight rails. Backfill and compact trenches once installation is inspected and approved. Work in coordination with the Excavator Driver and Banksman to ensure safe operations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work area. Follow all health and safety rules, including use of PPE and confined space procedures (if required). Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a Pipe Layer on civil or utilities projects. Understanding of pipe materials and jointing techniques. Competent in setting out and checking levels. CSCS card required; confined space certification desirable.
