Role: General Operative Location: Glensanda Quarry, Rhugh Garbh Depot, Barcaldine, PA37 1SE Rate: £18.00ph Contract length: 3 months initially but with the view to go permanent Shift Patterns: working 7 days a week 7am till 7pm, (84hrs) 1 week on, 1 week off. Start: ASAP Responsibilities: General site maintenance Cleaning spillages from under the production lines Moving site waste using a wheel barrow Use of on site machinery if valid tickets are held Practising the highest standards of Health and Safety at all times Essential requirements: Ability to conduct manual handling Ability to stand for long periods Previous labouring experience Some knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation Driving licence and use of a car is desirable due to location of the site, however, public transport is available. Tata Steel's largest UK works, Port Talbot, are seeking an experienced L4 Construction Scheduler on a fixed term basis. The successful applicant will be a PMI scheduling professional holding APM PPC and APM EVM certifications. This position allows a competent Construction Scheduler to manage detailed project schedules within a multi disciplined team during the construction phase of site projects. On this occasion, only applicants with FULL Right to work in the UK already in place can be considered. Role: Scheduler (Construction L4) Hours: Mon - Fri, 36.5 hours per week Location: TATA Steel, Port Talbot, SA13 2NG, United Kingdom Rate: Competitive and based on experience (inside IR35) Responsibilities: Maintaining and optimising Level 4 construction schedules aligned to the Level 3 integrated schedule Monitoring project progress, updating schedules and resolving scheduling issues with stakeholders Developing and finalising Level 4 commissioning schedules and integrating with the master schedule Coordinating with project teams to gather information, update schedules and track milestones Monitoring site progress, identifying delays, risks and opportunities to improve delivery Supporting contractor payment applications through validation against Level 4 schedules and contract rules Implementing schedule changes and managing communication through the project change control process Analysing schedule performance and producing regular progress, trend and issue reports Managing project timelines using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project and other scheduling tools. Job Title: Street Lighting Labourer Location: Bridgend Hours: Monday to Friday Pay Rate: £13.05 Per Hour About the Role: We are looking for a reliable Street Lighting Labourer to support the Street Lighting Team within the Communities Directorate. In this role, you will provide crucial knowledge and experience in highways maintenance and excavation. You will be working directly in an electrical environment to carefully expose underground cable networks. You will be joining our dedicated department to help manage the current workload and keep our local infrastructure safe and operational. Key Responsibilities: Undertake highways excavation and reinstatement tasks. Install street lighting columns, bollards, and signs, which includes safe backfilling, lifting, and reinstatement. Safely expose mains low voltage cable networks. Drive vans, trucks, and mobile elevated work platforms. Fulfil the general and specific roles and responsibilities detailed in the Health and Safety Policy. Ensure all activities are operated in accordance with Equal Opportunities legislation and best practice. Actively protect children, young people, or adults at risk as a core safeguarding responsibility, reporting any concerns to the MASH team. Requirements: Experience in excavation of highways and general labourer works (Essential). Hold a valid Drivers Licence up to 3.5T (Essential). Hold a street works card in highways excavation and reinstatement or be willing to undertake training in order to attain this. Possess basic knowledge of underground electrics and have an understanding of working in an electrical environment. Experience in driving and operating a variety of vehicles up to and including 7.5 ton. Experience operating tools and equipment, such as a pace breaker. Understanding of traffic management and maintenance of chapter 8. Ability to read and work with engineering and PUSWA drawings. Ability to work as part of a team, think clearly, follow instructions, and communicate effectively. Desirable training/qualifications include G39, CSCS, Manual Handling, and CPC. Must be willing to undergo Health Surveillance including HAVS (Hand Arm Vibration), Traffic Management, and Audiometry Testing. Why Join Us?
