Site Manager Teaching? North East Job Summary We are looking for a proactive and experienced Site Manager to support the Project Manager in the day-to-day delivery of construction projects. The role focuses on ensuring all site activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with programme, budget, and contractual requirements. The Site Manager will play a key role in promoting a positive Health & Safety culture, supervising site operatives, managing materials and plant, and carrying out regular inspections to maintain high standards of safety and quality. Key Responsibilities Support daily operational duties of the project from inception through to completion Manage and supervise on-site activities, including labour, subcontractors, materials, and workmanship Monitor quality control and ensure work is delivered in line with specifications and standards Carry out risk assessments and manage site safety, promoting best practice at all times Foster a positive Health & Safety culture across the site team Liaise with procurement teams to support effective material purchasing and cost control Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders Provide regular progress updates and laptop reports Liaise with residents and relevant third parties as required Experience & Skills Good knowledge of construction methods and processes Strong initiative with logical and structured thinking Excellent problem-solving ability Strong time management and leadership skills Effective communication and negotiation skills Ability to understand and interpret complex information Computer literate Clear understanding of building regulations and legal guidelines Team-focused approach with the ability to work collaboratively What's on Offer Competitive salary and benefits package, dependent on experience Pension contribution scheme Life assurance Private healthcare options Performance related bonus scheme Access to wellbeing and fitness facilities NRG is an equal opportunities employer committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace.
