Share, support, mentor and pass on knowledge to others;
Understand the team’s strengths and weaknesses;
Ensure all permits are in place and signed before work commences;
Forward plan on equipment and material needs;
Communicate with site manager regarding equipment and materials requirements at an early stage;
Attend team meetings ensuring timely adequate input from subcontractors to the design process and contribute to any issues, health and safety or better ways of working;Gain a full understanding of the detailed design and specification and maintain full knowledge of these during the construction process and ensure the information is shared with the team and relevant subcontractors;
Provide an input into monthly progress meetings;
Feed back to site management on any plant no longer required;
Ensure a safe system of work is used on unloading of any plant or materials;
Develop strong relationships with other members of the team to ensure their wellbeing, productivity and effectiveness;

A new job opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor .
This career opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor will provide commercial, contractual and financial management to projects related to mechanical and electrical projects.
Their Primary role will be to ensure project profit objectives and targets are met and cash is managed to maximise performance. The successful candidate will be required to diligently apply proper contractual and commercial practices and carefully manage risk to maximise the financial effectiveness and profitability of the projects under their responsibility, as this role is covering multiple sites, regular travel to our regional offices in Suffolk, Lincolshire and Staffordshire Main Responsibilities-Provide pre and post commercial advice / support to the operational teams

* Be able to negotiate favourable costs with suppliers
* Build solid relationships with suppliers
* Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.
