Tradewind Recruitment is searching for a Maintenance Officer to support a wonderful one-form entry Church of England Primary School in Warrington.
This is a full-time position, with the potential to go permanent for the right candidate starting from 26th September. The role will be a split shift position with working hours as 7am-10am and 2pm-6pm Monday to Friday (term time). During the school holidays, the working hours will be 8am-4pm but this can be flexible with approval of the headteacher.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the building maintenance, cleanliness, security and maintenance of furnishings, fixtures, plant and heavy equipment. This role is integral to the safe and efficient running of the school and its surrounding facilities. As a result, it is essential that you have prior experience as a Maintenance Officer in a school setting.
In order to be successful for this Maintenance Officer role, you will need:
An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS, or a willingness to obtain one
Experience as a Maintenance Officer in a school setting
Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety Legislation and Regulations
Experience of supervising maintenance contractors
Access to transport
Flexibility due to working hours and changing responsibilities of the post
Minimum of 2 professional references including your most recent employment reference
