Duties include: * Managing the day to day running of the site * Manage and implement health & safety procedures * Motivate, support and manage directly employed staff * Deliver all aspects of production in accordance with technical and planning documentation * Fully conform to building regulations * Ensure that adequate site records are maintained * Thoroughly inspect and ensure any remedial work is completed in advance of key stage inspections Suitable candidates must have experience of working for a high volume Main Contractor in the past and have specialised on the internal / fit out elements of construction projects. I am working with a leading 5* residential developer who requires a Quantity Surveyor to join them and support their growth in the region. You will be working as part of a large commercial feature, reporting to a Commercial Manager. Ideally, you will have a background working within a main contractor environment or as a developer/housebuilder. The company prides itself on fantastic staff retention levels as well as a really positive working culture. Ideally we’d be looking for a Quantity Surveyor with 3+ years post graduate experience who wants to join a company where they can grow. Quantity Surveyors will be based on-site in Bristol. I am working with a developer that is looking to grow following securing a number of key contracts across Bristol and Bath. Headed up by a former director of a main contractor they are seeking a junior/assistant/trainee quantity surveyor to join them and grow. The ideal candidate would be a junior who is looking to make a step up or a quantity surveyor who has experience in working for a main contractor and is looking for a change with more flexibility and varied work loads. You would be working directly under the Construction Director whose background is commercial - this would be a fantastic opportunity to learn. This may also suit a student who is working on a day release basis and studying locally. One of my key clients is looking for a No.1 Project Manager to join their team after several project wins across the Bristol & Bath region. Previous experience in working for the main contractor is desirable but not essential. We are looking for someone to be hands-on and have excellent people skills. You will be experienced in putting teams to work and working directly under the Construction Director. The company has plans for growth in the region. You must also have some longevity on your cv as this is a permanent position and not freelance. Looking for someone with: * Minimum 10 years + experience on large developments * Proven experience on high-quality finishes in high spec developments would be desirable * Strong leadership and organisational capabilities and be skilled in meeting deadlines * Excellent references and a good track record in the industry * Assist in the Procurement Schedule and dates with Quantity Surveyors. * Preparation of Progress Reports for bi-weekly meetings. * Ability to prepare, track and maintain Project Programme, Microsoft, Asta Planner or another.
