Temp Gas Supervisor Location: Plymouth Contract: 8 weeks Role: Gas Supervisor / Gas Compliance We are currently looking for an experienced Gas Supervisor to join a Housing Association in Plymouth on an 8-week contract. This role would suit a Gas Safe registered engineer or supervisor who is confident with gas compliance and certification but is also happy working in an office-based environment, dealing with administration, data input and updating housing management systems. The Role You will be responsible for supporting the gas team with day-to-day compliance and administration, ensuring gas records and certification are accurate, complete and up to date. Key responsibilities will include: Reviewing and signing off gas certificates and associated documentation. Ensuring gas safety and compliance requirements are met. Inputting and updating gas servicing information onto internal systems. Checking certificates and documentation for accuracy and completeness. Maintaining accurate gas compliance records. Liaising with engineers, contractors and internal housing teams. Monitoring outstanding gas servicing and remedial works. General administration and data entry. Providing technical support and guidance where required. Ensuring records are maintained in line with Housing Association procedures and relevant gas safety requirements. About You We are looking for someone who has: Gas Safe registration and relevant gas qualifications. Previous experience in a Gas Supervisor, Gas Manager, Gas Compliance or similar role. Good knowledge of domestic gas safety and certification. Experience reviewing and/or signing off gas certificates. Strong attention to detail and a good understanding of compliance. Good IT and data-entry skills. Experience using databases, housing management systems or compliance systems would be beneficial. Good communication and organisational skills. The ability to work independently and manage a busy workload. A willingness to undertake office-based administrative work alongside the technical/compliance duties. Commercial Premises Team Leader Location: Plymouth Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Contract: 12- 18 month FTC Reporting to: Commercial Asset Lead We re working with an established housing organisation to appoint a Commercial Premises Team Leader to lead the day-to-day management of a diverse portfolio of commercial properties. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial property professional who enjoys combining hands-on asset management with team leadership. You ll take responsibility for a portfolio of commercial premises, providing advice on valuation, leasing and property management while ensuring customers receive a high-quality service. The Role You ll be responsible for the effective management of commercial property assets, covering the full property lifecycle from marketing and letting through to lease renewals, rent reviews, assignments and ongoing property management. Key responsibilities will include: Managing a portfolio of commercial properties and overseeing day-to-day asset management activities. Undertaking rental valuations and keeping up to date with local market conditions and property values. Negotiating new commercial leases, lease renewals and rent reviews. Marketing available properties and conducting viewings with prospective tenants. Managing lease assignments and working with prospective purchasers and professional advisers. Carrying out regular property inspections and identifying any remedial or improvement works required. Supporting the maintenance and improvement programme across the commercial portfolio. Assisting with rent collection and arrears management, including negotiating repayment arrangements and supporting legal action where appropriate. Measuring properties and preparing information to support valuations and rental calculations. Providing advice on commercial property matters to internal stakeholders and colleagues. About You We re looking for an experienced commercial property professional with a strong understanding of commercial property management, valuation and leasing. You'll ideally have experience of: Managing commercial property portfolios. Commercial rental valuation and market assessment. Negotiating leases, renewals and rent reviews. Managing landlord and tenant relationships. Lease assignments and property transactions. Property inspections and maintenance programmes. Rent collection and commercial arrears. Working with external professional advisers and stakeholders. Leading, supervising or developing a team You ll have a good working knowledge of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 (Part II), together with an understanding of UK property law and commercial valuation principles Strong negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills are essential, as is the ability to analyse information, make sound decisions and provide practical solutions. You ll also need to be commercially aware, highly organised and comfortable managing competing priorities while maintaining excellent customer service. Qualifications A relevant degree, professional qualification or completion of relevant RICS-approved courses (or equivalent experience) is required.
