Architectural Technologist Wrexham Full-Time Are you an Architectural Technologist looking for the opportunity to work on varied, interesting projects while developing your technical and design skills within an established practice? We are currently working with an established, multi-disciplinary architectural practice based in Wrexham, with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality architectural and design solutions across a diverse range of sectors. The practice has a long-established presence in the region and works across Wales, the North West and wider UK, with an impressive portfolio spanning education, healthcare, commercial and heritage projects. They are now looking to strengthen their Wrexham team with an Architectural Technologist, and are open to considering candidates at different stages of their career. The Opportunity This is an excellent opportunity for either: • A recent Architectural Technology graduate or junior Technologist, with up to around two years' experience, who is enthusiastic, technically minded and keen to learn and develop within an established practice; or • A more experienced Architectural Technologist who can bring strong technical detailing, construction knowledge and the ability to run projects and take responsibility for delivering work. You will have the opportunity to work across a genuinely varied portfolio, including healthcare, education, commercial and heritage projects, giving you exposure to different building types, construction methods and project stages. The practice's portfolio includes significant education projects, commercial and industrial developments and specialist heritage work, providing a particularly broad technical environment for an Architectural Technologist to develop their career. Key Responsibilities Depending on your level of experience, you will be involved in: • Developing architectural and technical information from concept through to construction. • Producing detailed drawings and documentation using Autodesk Revit. • Preparing detailed construction drawings, specifications and schedules. • Developing design proposals and resolving technical details. • Working collaboratively with architects, designers, consultants and other project stakeholders. • Liaising with clients, contractors and other members of the project team where appropriate. • Supporting planning and building regulations submissions. • Contributing to projects through technical design and construction stages. • For experienced candidates, taking greater responsibility for project delivery, technical coordination and job running. About You The key requirement is a genuine enthusiasm for architectural technology and a desire to produce technically strong, well-considered buildings. Essential: • Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology or a related discipline. • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit - this is an essential requirement. • Good understanding of architectural construction and technical detailing. • Strong attention to detail and an organised approach to your work. • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team. • Good communication skills and a professional approach. For junior candidates, the practice is particularly interested in people who demonstrate enthusiasm, initiative and a willingness to learn, rather than simply focusing on years of experience. For more experienced Technologists, experience of technical delivery, detailing and running projects will be highly valued. Why Apply? This is a great opportunity to join an established practice where you can work on varied and technically interesting projects rather than being restricted to a single sector. For an ambitious junior or graduate, the role offers the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues, gain exposure to multiple project stages and build a strong technical foundation. For an experienced Architectural Technologist, it offers the chance to take ownership of projects, use your technical expertise and play an important role within a growing and established Wrexham-based team. If you are an Architectural Technologist with Revit experience and are looking for your next opportunity in the Wrexham area, we would be keen to hear from you.
