This is an excellent opportunity and will oversee the full cycle of works from inception through to completion. -Diagnosis of defects and identification of any structural issues -Building pathology -Writing detailed specifications for works to be completed -Putting works out to tender with approved contractors -Pre start meeting with the appointed contractor -Management of works on site -Quality checking of works to ensure that it is to desired quality -Management of H&S on site to ensure guidelines are adhered to Candidates should be experienced in diagnosing defects, and the management of contractors to deliver works on site, must have a good technical knowledge. We are recruiting for an excellent opportunity for a Fire Safety Surveyor on a Permanent basis. This role will focus on undertaking inspections of both new build and refurbishment projects to ensure that Fire regulations are being adhered to and the projects are being built in line statutory safety standards. This will include fire doors, building design, fire compartmentation, external wall inspections, both during construction phase and final inspections. Writing specifications for works to be undertaken to ensure that best value is achieved. Undertake detailed surveys to assess condition of properties and that works are undertaken in line with required quality standards. Involvement in the procurement of new contracts including tendering of works. Ensuring works are undertaken in line with H&S requirements and CDM-C Candidates should have experience of working as a Building Surveyor and overseeing contractors to deliver works, should have an HNC in a Building-related discipline or have equivalent experience. Due to an upcoming retirement, they have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced MRICS Building Surveyor to join and lead the Building Surveying function, and undertake responsibility for setting culture, strategy, new business and of course ensuring existing client relationships are maintained. The ideal candidate will have a broad level of experience of working with clients form sectors including Local Authority, Housing, Education and Private sector
