The Role
The function of the Senior Design Manager role will be to manage the design process, promote integration of disciplines and select, manage and appoint consultants to ensure that they perform in line with their deed and agreed scope of services. You will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on design programme's, and also provide technical support to the bid process. In addition you will be developing designs that utilise innovative techniques on multiple/complex projects.
Projects you will be involved with will be quite diverse in type and value and will be up to £40m per scheme and will include Industrial, Commercial, PRS, Education and Leisure.
Our client is looking for someone with an ambitious and progressive attitude to real add value to the Design team and the business as a whole.

* Prepare Method Statements, Risk assessments and Construction Phase Plans
* Review and approve other contractor RAMS
* Participate and hold internal and external Project meetings, reviews, briefs and kick-off meetings with clients and contractors
* Conduct inductions, toolbox talks, health and safety management and inspections of all works
* Point of contact on-site for deliveries and client liaison
* Document work undertaken & daily activities and provide a daily activity report.
