Milestone Infrastructure is currently looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to work on our Major Projects contracts in Oxfordshire. As a Quantity Surveyor you will be part of our commercial team who are responsible for supporting the project teams in all commercial matters and working with operational teams to ensure all commercial objectives are delivered. As a Quantity Surveyor your duties & responsibilities will include: Providing the commercial function across projects to ensure successful project delivery. Working within a team of talented professionals ensuring co-ordination and provision across all aspects of project delivery. Undertake pre-contract setup, including forecasting, measurement, sub-contract tendering and procurement. Effectively manage the commercial aspects of the project (or a section of a project) including valuations / applications, budget monitoring, material / plant reconciliation and contract variations and change. Assist in the preparation, management and agreement of Final Accounts. Procurement and management of subcontract packages. Produce and maintain project forecasts to support the monthly commercial and financial reporting procedures. Assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks. Maximise cashflow through the control and valuation of works, invoicing and payment process. Ensure compliance with all legal requirements, including contractual and legislative. Ensure compliance with Milestone standards and procedures in respect of commercial activities. Assist with control of project documentation. Ad hoc duties as job requires. Skills & Knowledge Requirements Degree / HND qualification in Quantity Surveying or other relevant subject. Registered with the RICS / CICES and working towards professional chartership. Relevant CSCS card. Strong level of identifiable commercial experience within the construction industry. Demonstrable experience of working on Highways and Civil Engineering projects. Good command and communication of oral and written English. Skilled negotiator and communicator. Good people and organisational skills. Proficient in the use of MS Office (ie. An integral business unit that allows us to deliver all necessary maintenance and work as sustainably as possible and with minimal impact to the communities is our Customer Services Centre based in the West Midlands. The CSC has been operational since 2005 and delivers a full range of services for the Highways Sector and Facilities Management. They are relied upon to assist in all contingency plans and provide a continuous 24/7, 365 operations service to both an internal and external client base. Due to the success of the team and internal promotions the CSC are looking to recruit a Services Coordinator / Incident Response Coordinator to join their highly dedicated and respected team. The team work on shift pattern of four days on four days off with hours of 07:00am to 19:00pm and 19:00pm to 07:00am. Included is a generous salary enhancement for working unsociable hours. Duties & Responsibilities Receiving phone calls from Company employees, contractors and other external agencies Data capture into the bespoke computer systems Proactive monitoring and reporting on events and incidents Handling of inbound and outbound calls Simultaneous system operation Ensuring all data entry is accurate Generating reports for clients and management Key Skills & Experience Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office products and/or other similar operating systems.
