We have an immediate requirement to appoint a SHEQ Advisor, to work on our Southern Water Framework contract at Trant BTU. The SHEQ Advisor will be responsible for the Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality of a variety of sites within the Southern Water region. Working on Water & Sewage Treatment Works, work comprises of multiple small refurbishment schemes, involving both civil engineering and M&E works.
Duties include but are not limited to -
* Advise and guide all personnel working on projects with regards to the implementation of the SHEQ policies and procedures.
* To work with all Managers and Staff to ensure risk assessments are prepared and reviewed as necessary and if required to assist with their preparation.
* Support the Managers / Directors in the production, review and implementation of the relevant Project Management Plans / Construction Phase Plans and project SHEQ documentation.
* Delivering inductions and training as required.
* Undertake regular site SHEQ inspections and assist the site teams with closing out issues that are identified during inspections and audits.
* To liaise with client representatives in order to establish good working relationships in relation to SHEQ management of sites.
Minimum Qualifications -
* NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate
* NEBOSH National Diploma or equivalent / GradIOSH would be advantageous but not essential

* Attend internal and external design review and progress meetings.
* Produce and review electrical & mechanical design documentation.
* Produce specifications and outline designs.
* Procurement of Electrical & Mechanical Equipment and support for subcontract procurement.

* Record and Review as-built information.

Qualification/Competency
* Degree or HND/HNC in either Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or Chemical/Process Engineering.

The Role:

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, together with the preparation of the necessary technical and commercial submission documentation for a wide variety of M&E Engineering projects across the UK and overseas. Applicants should have a background in estimating M&E projects as well as ideally having a mechanical or electrical engineering background, with a working knowledge of the related electrical and ICA elements.

* Report to the Estimating and Bid Manager, programme and manage own workload within the MEICA estimating team
* Prepare multi-discipline proposals for the Process & Water, Energy, Defence, Oil & Gas and Nuclear sectors

* Understand documentation required for formal submissions

We are seeking to recruit a Design Coordinator with a water & process background, to join our site team on a water project in Ashford, Kent. This is a site-based role and the Design Coordinator will work as part of a multi-disciplined team, responsible for the production of design deliverables, they will liaise between the Mechanical, Electrical & Civils design teams and the site team.
Reporting to the Project Manager, duties include but are not limited to;

We are now recruiting for a Customer Manager to join our Southern Water delivery team based on site in Havant, to assist in the delivery of a business-critical service to ensure that customers’ expectations are exceeded. They will manage all additional contacts, proactively monitor customer commitments and appointments, and ensure all confirmed work orders are analysed to verify correct completion.
Key Responsibilities:
·Management of additional contacts and manager ring backs to ensure delivery of business targets
·Liaise with customers to identify and discuss reason for additional contact
·Gain an understanding of manager ring back reason from previous job history and customers contact to resolve customers query
·Take ownership and manage customers’ expectations
·Manage the local landowners where we are taking the land for the project

The Role:
Due to continued expansion, we are seeking to recruit a Mechanical and/or Electrical Estimator/Proposals Engineer, to be based at our Head Office in Southampton. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, together with the preparation of the necessary technical and commercial submission documentation for a wide variety of M&E Engineering projects across the UK and overseas. Applicants should have a background in estimating M&E projects as well as ideally having a mechanical or electrical engineering background, with a working knowledge of the related electrical and ICA elements.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Report to the Estimating and Bid Manager, programme and manage own workload within the MEICA estimating team
* Prepare multi-discipline proposals for the Process & Water, Energy, Defence, Oil & Gas and Nuclear sectors
* Comply fully with the documented company tendering procedures
* Read and fully understand client specifications and drawings
* Understand documentation required for formal submissions
* Ascertain preliminary and detailed project requirements and solutions, including programmes and value engineering solutions
* Liaison with the ‘in-house’ M&E design team and project delivery teams for each sector as necessary
* Prepare material, labour, plant and subcontractor cost analysis spreadsheets
* Prepare preliminary tender programmes
* Organise and partake in bid initiation, technical and commercial review meetings and subsequent follow up meeting with technical and commercial directors.
* Present the cost estimate in full detail to management for review and final approval. Responsible, with senior management, for the identification, evaluation and ranking of risks as well as developing a strategy to manage and mitigate the risks to the company as the basis for estimating an appropriate contingency allowance for inclusion in the cost estimate.
* Attend site visits and client meetings
* Consider site safety, health and environmental issues
* Co-ordinate and liaise with suppliers, specialist sub-contractors and ‘in-house’ resources
* Compile and collate documentation, schedules and data sheets etc. for inclusion into final formal proposal submissions
* Ensure that commercial and technical submissions are fully compliant with the conditions of contract with all necessary details of clarifications and qualifications to the proposal clearly communicated.
Skills/Qualifications:
* A history of tendering M&E Projects as either an Estimator or Project Engineer within the above mentioned sectors
* Knowledge of contract conditions and in particular the NEC suite of contracts
* IT literacy – Minimum MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and MS Project
