Morgan Hunt currently requires a Shift Technician( Electrical or Mechanical) for NHS based in Central London Pay Rate: £18.78 Ltd - Weekdays/ £24.41ph Ltd Nights Weekday/ Sat All Day/ £28.17ph Ltd Sun All Day Hours: 12hrs shifts 4 on 4 off 07:00am to 19:00pm & 19:00pm to 07:00am Days & Night Location: Central London Duration 6 months on going contract. Main purpose of the job Shift Maintenance Technicians are employed to work across both engineering disciplines. They will have been trained wider than their core skill and acquired elements of either Electrical and Mechanical skills and have reached a level of flexibility and competence which enables them to achieve and apply the ability where required to perform across the summary duties listed below. Responsible to maintain mechanical and electrical systems, plant and equipment, buildings and building components in order to ensure their safe operation, serviceability and compliance with statutory regulations, policies and procedures. (CHP and Boiler plant, HVAC plant, electrical distribution, fire detection, building control & automation, standby generator plant, basic refrigeration, basic and emergency lift care & nurse call systems). Morgan Hunt currently requires a Maintenance Facilities Operative for FE College - East London Pay Rate: £18ph to £20ph PAYE Hours: 35 hrs 8am to 16:00pm Mon to Fri Location: East London Duration 3 months on going contract Must have Enhanced Children DBS Certificate on update service or Happy to apply for DBS Certificate Purpose of the Role To support the Facilities Manager in keeping the premises safe, clean and presentable. Undertake basic maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, electrical, painting & decorating and carpentry tasks. Complete cross-campus deliveries. Education & Qualifications GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths. Basic literacy, numeracy, and IT skills. Willingness to undertake role-related training, including health & safety, safeguarding, and facilities procedures. Relevant facilities, caretaking, or health & safety training. Experience Experience working in a facilities, estates, caretaking, maintenance, or support services environment. Experience supporting reactive maintenance, minor works, or general repairs. Experience of room set-ups, portering, or event support, including exams or enrolment activities. Experience working in a busy, customer-focused environment with changing priorities. Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours Basic knowledge of facilities and estates services. Awareness of health & safety requirements, safe working practices, and incident reporting. Understanding of safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion within a college environment. Ability to carry out practical tasks, including minor works, redecorations, spill response, and portering. Good organisation, time-management, and communication skills. Ability to follow procedures and update records accurately using CAFM or service desk systems. Reliable, flexible, and conscientious, with a proactive and team-focused approach. Calm and professional when working under pressure, particularly during busy periods such as enrolment and exams.
