Compass Resourcing is currently recruiting a Project Manager for a highly regarded Hull based construction fit-out main contractor. The company operate on projects nationwide, but they are currently recruiting for a Yorkshire based Project Manager who can spend a few days in the office each week and a few days on the road visiting projects nationwide. Projects are usually in the range of £20,000 to £2 million in value and the Project Manager will be looking after around 3-5 live projects. Projects will mainly consist of the fit-out and refurbishment of commercial offices. The project manager will deal with programming, client meetings, surveys, updates and reporting. You should be good with paperwork and managing people. You will be client facing and must have a professional and approachable manner. You should be a good motivator and able to get the best out of your team and subcontractors. You will need to have good IT skills and be pro-active. Compass Resourcing are working with a leading interior fit out contractor from Bradford who are currently looking to recruit a new Electrical Project Manager for their Building Services Division. The company work on fast track projects up to £500k in value in the retail, commercial and leisure sectors. You will be based in the companies head office with regular visits to projects. Reporting to the M&E Operations Manager. As Project Manager, responsibilities are to lead and develop project teams, maintain and grow customer relationships, ensure project delivery is excellent, H & S excellence in line with company procedures and the projects are profitable in line with budget and always looking for ways to exceed. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: * Develop client briefs into workable project profiles * Forming scoping documents and specifications * Assisting QS to produce cost plans * Programming and phasing of projects * Managing project meetings * Commercial – ensure profit plans, CVR’s and resourcing are all accurate * Ensuring all projects are delivered to exacting standards, on time and in budget. * Leadership – lead and develop project teams * Profitability – always aiming to deliver budget margins and looking at ways to increase. Ensuring CVR’s are accurate and produced on time. * H & S – ensure company policies and standards are maintained on sites * Quality – always looking to deliver a “right first time” approach – aiming to get to a defect free handover. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE * Background in fit-out /construction/Installations * Project management experience * Good communication skills * Time and workload management * Develop and maintain customer relationships * Work under pressure to deadlines DETAILS Standard working hours - 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday This is a permanent position which is required ASAP All Health & Safety risks will be covered in induction. They are looking for a permanent Site Manager with retail fit out experience, preferably supermarkets. The site manager will be responsible for health & safety and site management of shopfitting projects for a leading UK retailer. Projects will be fast-track store fit-outs. Having a trade’s background would be an advantage but is not essential. The Site Manager will be fully responsible for the site works and will report into a visiting Contracts Manager. You should be a good motivator and able to get the best out of your team and subcontractors. You will need to have good IT skills and be a forward planner. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to join a successful and forward thinking company on a long-term basis with opportunities for progression and development.
