About This Opportunity * Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion * Responsible for Construction Programmes and ensuring deadlines are met * Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs * Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations * Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors * Meet contractual conditions on performance * Review and monitor progress and weekly reports * Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status * Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones * Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licences * Analyse, manage and mitigate risks * Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques * Ensure company standards and quality is being met * Reporting directly to company Directors Requirements * Proven working experience in construction management * Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods * Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards * Understanding of all facets of the construction process * Familiarity with construction management software packages * Competent in conflict and crisis management * Excellent time and project management skills * SMSTS * CSCS Manager * Driving licence Benefits * Company pension * Car allowance

The Organisation This organisation is a Quantity Surveying & Project Management consultancy providing bespoke and flexible services to their clients. They have two office locations across the North West. The firm deal in an array of building sectors such as residential, commercial, education, retail, healthcare and sports & leisure. Projects are located across the UK but predominantly in the North West. Duties Candidates will be responsible for all client-side duties pre & post contract such as: - * Cost Planning & Advice * Risk Management * Tender Preparation & Evaluation * Contract Administration * Dispute Resolution * Life Cycle Costing * Agreeing Final Accounts * Cost Reporting What are they looking for? * Quantity Surveying experience and associated qualification * Experience in working for a consultancy previously is preferred but not essential * Prior experience in the duties listed above * Experience with liaising with clients directly Package This position is not being advertised at a particular salary as the organisation are looking to provide offers to successful candidates based upon their prior experience
