We are looking for someone to lead a small team delivering Construction Safety services to a range of clients across residential, education and MoD projects. You will be responsible for delivering the role of Principal Designer and CDM Advisor, undertaking site safety inspections and providing professional advice and guidance to ensure compliance with CDM 2015. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the construction safety consultancy sector, with good commercial awareness, business development and team leadership skills.
* NEBOSH Construction Certificate (minimum)
* TechIOSH +
* IMaPS or CMaPS status
* Excellent communication skills
This is a hybrid role with around 3 days per week based from Bromley, covering client sites across London and the south east. Salary range is £65-75K (including car allowance) + benefits and would suit someone looking to take a step up from a Senior / Principal Consultant role.

You will provide clients with strategic advice on developing and implementing their health and safety policy along with structured and comprehensive risk management systems at any stage of a construction project or infrastructure project. Working as part of a small growing team you will be involved in construction projects that cover sectors such as Hotels, Housing, Offices, Retail, Health and Education.
Key responsibilities
* Undertaking the role of Principle Designer
* Responsibility for managing your own projects
* Providing CDM advice and support to Client Teams, advising clearly of their CDM Duties and assisting with development of CDM strategy for projects
* Attending and co-ordinating Design & Project Meetings as required throughout projects
* Visiting project sites prior to construction to carry out initial risk appraisals and during construction to review arrangements (as required)
* Preparing, co-ordinating and distributing relevant pre-construction Health & Safety Information to other design & project team members, using company format where required

* Reviewing Construction Phase Plans, demolition & lifting plans etc

To be considered for this role, you must hold:
* Some practical experience in providing CDM services
* Technical Membership with IOSH or above
* Membership with the APS would be beneficial

You will be responsible for managing the planning, development, monitoring and review of safe systems of work on construction projects within the regions. You will work closely with Regional SHE Advisors and the Safety, Health & Environment Director to deliver a strong health & Safety culture and advise senior management teams on H&S issues.
* Promote safe working practices across the region and monitor compliance.
* Undertake joint site visits, provide advice, guidance and support.
* Develop and promote health and safety awareness and responsibilities.
