Quality Technician required on a permanent basis. Training to be conducted at Harrietsham with frequent travel to their other sites. Previous experience of working within a Quality department is not essential, you might be working in another target orientated field and have a particular interest in the Quality or Calibration aspect. They have UKAS and ISO accreditation which makes the role of the Quality team a fundamental part of the business, supporting the operations teams to carry out testing to the highest of standards. The role will be a mixture of working within a small team and working independently but alongside the other departments across the business so they are looking for someone that has great organisation skills and time management as managing your own workload will be key to being successful. An idea of the tasks you will carry out On a daily basis you will be getting hands on calibrating in-house equipment across the materials testing labs in the South. You will be in charge of checking and maintaining equipment and their records and ensure that they are up to date with all current specifications and standards. Whilst the checks themselves are one of the most important things they do, the data they record and document is vital, so you must have exceptional attention to detail and great use of Microsoft and systems/ technology in general. There will be opportunities to train staff on how to maintain equipment and you will support the quality team to make sure all training records are up to date. Specifics about the position This is a permanent, full time role (40 hours per week) Training will be based out of Harrietsham office and there will be regular travel to our other material testing labs in the South such as Billericay, Heathrow and Crawley. They will provide the use of a vehicle to get yourself to any of work location you need to go to. Salary: £22,000.00 DOE

Construction materials testing company is actively recruiting looking for someone to join their team in the Midlands as a Materials Testing Technician at an entry level. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to earn as they learn. No experience required, previous experience within the construction industry would be advantageous along with a CSCS card. They have a great in-house team that will ensure you have all the training you need, so no experience of Materials Testing is necessary. As a Trainee Technician, you will be happy to follow strict protocols and processes, embrace health and safety, as well as ensure all paperwork is accurate and completed on time for the client. You’ll have a willingness to learn and be client-focussed, as you will be on-site and dealing with a wide variety of people at all levels. It may be cliché, but they guarantee that no two days are the same in this role, so if you like variety this could be the perfect role for you. Day to day responsibilities You will be carrying out on-site testing and sampling activities and with us having UKAS accreditation, these will be to a very high standard. You will also be producing test results in accordance with the in-house procedures, standards and specifications. Skills required As there is travel involved, you will be required to have a full UK driving license. With the high level of accuracy that is required, they are looking for someone that has great mathematical and literacy skills and exceptional attention to detail. They want someone that works great within a team but can also work solo as the job is a great mixture of both. Working hours will be a minimum of 45 hours per week

Senior Site Technicians, experienced in site materials testing required Nationwide on a permanent basis. * To be responsible for major project work as delegated by the Operations Manager and /or Operations Supervisor. * To provide managerial, technical & administrative support to the Operations Manager and /or Operations Supervisor. * To commit to ensuring a culture of impartiality so that conflicts do not exist within the company and its quality management systems, operational activities and commercial relationships. * To commit to ensuring the confidentiality of all customer information obtained or created during the performance of laboratory activities, except as required by law. Duties and tasks: * To schedule and manage day to day recurring contracts or projects, ensure the accuracy and integrity of associated reports and invoicing, ensuring quality is maintained and reports are issued in a timely manner. * To assist the Operations Manager and / or Supervisor in managing all major large-scale site investigation works and be responsible for all associated documentation. * To be responsible for the Health & Safety of all personnel under their direct control at any time and to ensure the Company’s Rules and Health & Safety Policy and procedures are adhered to. * To ensure that risk assessments and safe working procedures are prepared, where necessary, for all work under your control and as required by the Site Manager and / or Supervisor. * To ensure the Company’s Quality Procedures are followed for all works under your supervision. * When required, to check and sign site reports to ensure service standards are maintained. * To maintain, in conjunction with the Operations Manager and /or Operations Supervisor, the training status of technicians carrying out UKAS accredited test disciplines on site. * To prepare risk assessments and safe working procedures for all work under their control and as required by the Operations Manager and /or Operations Supervisor. * To programme and carry out on-site quality training as required by operational and customer requirements. * To carry out Quality and Safety audits as required by the schedules set by the Division Quality Manager. * To liaise with the Quality Manager/Senior QA Technician / QA Technician to ensure all site activity testing equipment is maintained in a calibrated status
