Freelance Senior Estimator The successful Senior Estimator will be offered on going work on an exciting and complex scheme. We are resourcing an experienced Freelance Estimator to be site based on a large prime residential fit out in the heart of Mayfair. Our client as a large amount of variations which need repricing and submitting. The Estimator will be working from drawings / Bills of quantities and will be expected to produce accurate variations for submission. The work is complex and requires an experienced Estimator with an understanding of pricing and quality presentation and will also be expected to liaise with the site team during the preparation of the submissions. Our client is a large construction main contractor who specialise in the luxury prime residential market on schemes ranging from £15 - £60m in value, working on both new build and refurbishment schemes. Talented Quantity Surveyor required on a permanent or freelance basis We are using all the avenues we have at our disposal to resource an experienced Quantity Surveyor. We represent a main contractor who offers a first class building service to the prime central London residential market. The company enjoys a gilded history with an impressive array of past schemes that form its portfolio of new build, restoration, refurbishments and fit out projects. They specialise in heavy structural alterations to grade 1 and 2 listed building, incorporating exquisite materials, opulent design and installing highly developed bespoke fine-finishes to zero tolerances. The successful Quantity Surveyor will be involved on schemes from 1m - 12m in value, based around Central & North London and will undertake both pre and post contract commercial duties. Responsibilities will include: Sub-contract procurement for all project packages Management of subcontract accounts. Negotiation of sub-contract terms and conditions. Monthly valuations Profit planning. Identification and valuation of variations. Claims notification and generation. Detailed monthly cost / value reporting. Final Account settlement Responsibilities for managing and mentoring junior colleagues. Background of the Quantity Surveyor The Quantity Surveyor will have a background and be extremely competent at bringing in a project to commercial budgets. M&E Quantity Surveyor The M&E Quantity Surveyor can expect a salary up to £85,000 (happy to pay on a permanent or self-employed basis) or day rate up to £400.00 a day. They have recently been awarded a £20m new build student accommodation and are proactively recruiting an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor. The scheme is a modular construction scheme incorporating a new infrastructure set up. They are coming to the successful conclusion of the enabling works package and are looking to recruit an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their on-site commercial team. They require the skills of a M&E Quantity Surveyor to undertake commercial duties involving the whole array of responsibilities from procurement through to final accounts.
