Our Client has a requirement for a Package Manager, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Abingdon. Role Purpose Lead the delivery of electrical engineering activities supporting decommissioning projects through discovery, pre-construction, and construction phases. Develop safe, compliant, and efficient electrical decommissioning solutions in line with regulatory and project requirements. Provide technical expertise in the planning, design, implementation, and execution of HV and LV electrical system decommissioning. Support stakeholder engagement, interface management, and continuous improvement through lessons learned and best practice application. Job Role Responsibilities Ensure development, implementation, and compliance with technical processes and operating procedures for electrical decommissioning. Develop detailed plans and schedules for electrical system decommissioning activities. Conduct site surveys and assessments to identify electrical assets requiring isolation, removal, or modification. Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimise electrical hazards. Manage stakeholder and supplier relationships, defining requirements and coordinating interfaces. Provide expert technical guidance to overcome engineering and delivery challenges. Supervise disconnection, removal, disposal, and decommissioning of electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear, panels, wiring, and generators. Prepare and maintain technical documentation including electrical drawings, isolation registers, method statements, risk assessments, and reports. Conduct inspections and testing to verify safe decommissioning and operational integrity of remaining systems. Ensure compliance with waste management requirements, including recycling and disposal of hazardous electrical materials. Support construction planning, readiness reviews, and project delivery activities. Present engineering solutions and deliverables to project stakeholders and review panels. Mentor engineers and technical personnel, supporting knowledge transfer and capability development. Provide technical support and advice to wider project teams as required. Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline (BSc/MSc or equivalent). Chartered Engineer status or significant relevant industry experience. Strong understanding of UK engineering standards, compliance requirements, and design codes including BS 7671. Familiarity with CDM Regulations and Health & Safety at Work legislation. Extensive experience delivering electrical engineering solutions within complex projects or programmes. Proven experience in decommissioning, demolition, waste management, or facility decommissioning environments. Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, emergency power systems, control systems, and associated infrastructure. Experience applying electrical isolation procedures, LOTO requirements, and risk mitigation techniques. Familiarity with industry-standard engineering and information management systems. Demonstrable experience supervising personnel and coordinating multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and technical report writing skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to mentor, coach, and provide technical leadership. Experience working within nuclear environments would be advantageous. Experience using electrical design software, preferably SolidWorks, would be desirable. Lead Critical Infrastructure Projects and Drive Safe, Successful Site Delivery Our Client has a requirement for a Site Manager, who will be required to work on a permanent basis in Peterborough. Role Purpose: Lead and direct site teams to ensure the safe management of operational activities across multiple projects. Deliver complex infrastructure projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Coordinate subcontractors, resources and day-to-day site operations to achieve project milestones. Ensure HSQE, programme and budget requirements are met throughout project delivery. Work closely with project stakeholders to support successful project execution and handover. Job Role Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate site activities in line with the construction programme, including subcontractor performance, resources and materials. Lead by example in ensuring all safety, quality and environmental management systems are adhered to and embedded on site. Support project handover and ensure all works are completed to a safe-to-operate (STO) standard at DM4. Maintain site compliance with assurance requirements (CSIR, CEIR, CQIR), working alongside the Delivery Assurance Manager. Monitor and manage budgets in coordination with the Cost Manager; approve site expenditure, timesheets and GRNs in line with governance. Review and approve subcontractor RAMS, manage site requisitions and ensure plant and materials are utilised efficiently. Take ownership of the rework list, ensuring timely resolution and submission for construction assurance. Collaborate with the Project Delivery Team to support programme, cost and quality reporting, and risk management. Support change management processes and accurate use of CCMS for cost control and purchasing. Liaise with operational teams to ensure seamless asset transition and operational readiness. Lead and motivate the site team, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications: Demonstrable experience managing large-scale construction projects with a value of £20 million or more, preferably within infrastructure or regulated utility sectors. Proven track record of successfully delivering complex site operations in line with time, cost and quality targets. Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality standards within a live site environment. Experience managing subcontractors and supply chain partners to meet programme objectives. Commercial awareness and confidence in managing site budgets, cost reporting and procurement systems. Familiarity with project assurance and governance processes, including change control and risk mitigation. Ability to lead, engage and develop site teams while maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships. Strong leadership skills with a solid background in infrastructure delivery.
