Site Engineer Report To: Section Engineer, Project Manager Location: Battersea Safety, Health, Environment & Sustainability * Production of Method Statements Task Briefing and Risk Assessments to be approved by supervising engineers. Contribution to production of all Permits to works, including briefing to the workforce. Carries out Safety Inspections * Hazard Identification and contribution to development of Safe System of Work. Know the company procedures and statutory regulations relating to environmental and waste management issues. Dimensional/Spatial Control * Provides dimensional control for a section of the works * Undertakes as built surveys for a section of the works and presents results in format that can be included in project records if required. Establishes and maintains secondary control on the project from primary control. Checks dimension design data early, raising technical queries to eliminate delays from insufficient information Workmanship, Quality, Inspection & Testing * Raises Non-Conformance Report (NCR) for all non-conformances and reports potential non-conformances * Produces Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) that correctly interpret the specified quality requirements * Implements the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and the Request for Witness and Approval (RWA) procedures * Carries out quality control checks using internal check sheets where appropriate. Applies the company and external technical information to help achieve the specified quality requirements. Adopts and promotes a culture of “right first time” * Works to Weekly Programme and marks up progress achieved weekly * Production of accurate daily diary of resources, including labour, plant, materials, subcontractors and outputs Information, Change Control & Records * Files and maintains the engineer’s drawings and specifications so that the current information is always presented to them * Marks up drawings & specifications with any changes referencing the documentation that verifies the change * Measures materials usage and provides quantity information for preparation of material call off / requisitions * Carries out on site testing of materials, products, plant and systems as required by their role. Setting out. The provision of sketches detailing the setting out information installed Construction Methods, Practices and Innovation * Reads and understands method statements and makes sure that site operations follow these methods accurately reporting any variances to supervisors and his supervising engineer * Produces sketches and drawings to clarify methods and construction sequences Temporary Works/Systems & Cranes * Understand and have a good command of temporary works and permits to load. Project Controls Manager Department: Project Controls/ Performance Reports to: Head of Project Controls Key relationships Commercial, Planners, Delivery team, Client, Project Controls and Supply Chain. About Q6, Heathrow Airport Our Q6 framework spans from airfield works (taxiways, runways, stands), to civils (roads, demolition works, underground and above ground structures), and MEP packages (services tunnels, lifts, life safety systems, fuel/fire mains). Key responsibilities * Responsible for a portfolio of Projects for the purpose of project performance analysis / reporting and cost / programme integration according to the Contract requirements / works information * Responsible for development of the project baseline across scope, time, cost, risk, schedule updates, forecast to complete, variance identification, opportunities for improvement and earned value management of the programme. * Comprehensive understanding of Primavera P6 and produce cost loading programme. * Coordination point with all parties involved in the month end progress process/ project controls management. * Reporting and Dashboard production using Power BI. * Expert Planning and scheduling knowledge. * Prepare and assess cost forecasts. * Work with relevant people (commercials, section leads and site agents) to verify their costs to complete. Key Skills and qualifications * Experience in project controls. * Previous experience of cost management systems within a major civil engineering project. * Previous knowledge of construction scheduling using Primavera P6. * Previous experience using Power BI is preferable. * Strong knowledge on how to measure civil engineering works. * Good understanding of NEC3 contracts. * Good IT skills and adaptability. * Sound interpersonal skills and ability to interact collaboratively with the supply chain, colleagues and Client. * Ability to manage a small team and deliver timely high-quality reports. * Excel – high level of capability. We have focused on design and build projects with a mix of contractual arrangements. This has enabled us to refine our management procedures in response to Heathrow’s Employers Requirements and Ferrovial Construction own internal management systems. Since joining Heathrow’s framework in 2014, Ferrovial Construction has delivered a variety of airside and landside projects across the whole airport. For example, we have delivered new taxiways and rehabilitated existing taxiways and the southern runway. We have also redeveloped sterile and grass areas and replaced critical assets, such as fire main, fuel main and HV ducts. We are currently working alongside Heathrow to rehabilitate assets with expired design life’s and plan for a future runway resurfacing project. We are constantly designing and planning our works around critical assets and engaging with different key stakeholders in order to deliver Heathrow value for money. The Role Assist the Agent in all civil engineering operations, ensuring the Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental standards are adhered to. You will lead the engineering and site supervision team on a particular section of this project. Key responsibilities Duties will include: * Comply with company policies and procedures, such as method statements, risk assessments and briefings to set a personal example in health, safety, quality and environmental matters * Support the Agent as required in operating the cost management system and the production of programmes * To manage, supervise and mentor site engineers to ensure high levels of engineering control and generation of appropriate records. * Communicate with commercial staff to ensure all records for measurement and payment purposes are prepared promptly and in appropriate form. * Liaise with the Agent to allocate labour, plant, materials and temporary work design schemes * Advise Agent of any potential commercial or contractual liabilities * To manage the ordering process and supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of required materials * To manage subcontractors to ensure delivery of the required service and to comply with company policies * To promote company values in all dealing with other employees, clients, subcontractors and other external contacts. * To ensure daily activity briefings are prepared and delivered, and to complete a diary on a regular basis with relevant information Key skills and experience * Successful experience at section engineering level (on site) including civil and services * Demonstrated application of growing commercial and contractual knowledge * Experience of working in a cost-conscious environment * Good people management experience * Experience in managing subcontractors * CSCS card * Flexibility Desirable skills * Airport experience/ critical areas experience * Experience of working in an international organization * Experience in stakeholder’s management * Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers or equivalent Ferrovial embraces diversity and inclusion and we see the value in providing equal opportunities to all employees. Finance Clerk Location: Chiswick, London Fixed term contract (6 months). Description of Activities to be undertaken * To provide quality accounts payable services on a timely basis that meets the needs and deadlines to facilitate paying the supply chain accurately on time. * Provides accounting services for materials. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on judgment and limited experience to materials and accomplish goals * The processing of allocated accounts payable transactions in an efficient and timely manner ensuring that the service level agreement(s) (targets and deadlines) are being met. * Ensuring that all invoices have the correct authorisations and relevant coding specifications for each project. If invoices require amendments, ensure that this is done in a prompt manner to ensure we adhere to vendors trading terms. * The processing of the weekly payments runs are completed on their allocated days ensuring authorisations in online banking before deadline. * Ensuring that all accounts payable documents and records are identified, indexed, filed and retained in accordance with the relevant filing system and statutory requirements. * Check to ensure that all tax invoices have the correct tax details before inputting into system. * Resolve queries in an efficient and timely manner for both our internal and external customers in accordance with our service level agreement(s). * Monthly vendor statements are to be checked on a regular basis and reconciled where necessary, any entries that are more than one month old or more that have not been entered into INSITE are to be followed-up and resolved within the current month. * All filing requirements need to be completed on a weekly basis. * Assist Manager as required with any ad hoc projects and assist all other team members as directed by Manager when necessary in order to facilitate a ‘one team’ environment.
