Our client is a major Building and Civil Engineering Contractor operating throughout the UK Due to an increasing workload, they now have a requirement for a Site Manager from a main construction contractor background to get involved in a number of recently awarded £multi-million new build and refurbishment projects in the Inverness area They are looking for Site Managers from the Inverness/Lossiemouth & Elgin area for Major Construction projects Experience of Commercial, retail, healthcare, education, refurbishment and/or new build Responsibilities The successful candidate will have a wide and varied remit making full use of their experience and skills. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of success in safe delivery of high quality medium to large scale projects to budget and programme. Commercial * Have an understanding of the type of building contract, and the key project stakeholders e.g. client, client’s representatives, design team etc. * Have a full understanding of the scope of works for each sub-contractor package, and have access to a paper copy of each sub contract order. * Liaise with the PM and PQS on works not deemed to be included within the scope of works for the project. Operational * Issue permits for various work activities, and close out accordingly. Have the ability to undertake material/equipment orders, and liaise with the project quantity surveyor. * Provisions/diversion/upgrade/protection works, and be able to manage the process via meetings/dialogue etc. with the relevant utility companies. * Make any necessary applications for permits to the Highways Authority for road openings, location of skips and/or welfare facilities. * Make any necessary applications to utility companies for temporary building water, drainage discharge and electricity connections to welfare facilities * Have an understanding of any off site Highways works, and be able to manage the process via meetings/dialogue etc. with relevant parties. Quality * Raise NCR’s for works undertaken that are of poor quality. * Ensure that sub-contractors compile and issue inspection and test plans (ITP’s) for various works packages, and that these are checked and closed out accordingly. * Compile snagging lists and manage the process for closing out. Health & Safety * Understand their duties and responsibilities with regards to current Health and Safety/CDM legislation, and the responsibilities of other parties, and ensure compliance on each project. * Undertake the role of temporary works coordinator (where applicable). * Ensure labour only sub-contractors have been properly assessed for the tasks they are undertaken and that method statements and risk assessments are in place for them. Qualifications Essential * CSCS/CSR card * SMSTS qualified Desirable * First Aid at Work * Professional qualification Experience Relevant previous construction experience in one or more of the following; * Commercial, retail, healthcare, education, refurbishment and/or new build * Proven ability to manage and control subcontractors in line with the project programme, safety and environmental legislation. * Experience of temporary works procedures * Ability to operate within a team environment * Ability to produce short term programmes Quality focused Leadership skills IT skills * They are an equal opportunities employer. * CSCS Card required

Due to a significant award, they now have a requirement for a Site Engineer from a main construction contractor background to get involved in a recent £multi-million Design and Build award in the Elgin area Experience of Commercial, retail, healthcare, education, refurbishment and/or new build Taking into account the geographic location of the project a competitive subsistence allowance is also on offer if required Prospects are fantastic and the starting salary is very competitive. Significant site experience in setting out concrete frames, groundworks, foundations, steelwork etc. Key Function of the Role: Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be required to accurately set out the works in accordance with the drawings and ensure they are constructed in accordance with the specification. The Key Requirements: * Set out the works using appropriate instruments to an acceptable level of accuracy having regard to the drawing, specification and site instructions; * check the accuracy of the setting out at all stages of construction; * provide measurement data to the Quantity Surveyor; * maintain records of work done and provide sketches/information from drawings and specifications for the use by the Foremen and Operatives. * understand and apply relevant information to make appropriate decisions which reflect key priorities and requirements; * help others providing them with advice and feedback; * manage own and others time to meet all project requirement and provide the safest possible working environment; * monitor and audit the quality of own and others' work and * understand the procedures, processes and legislation required. The successful candidate will have: * HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering (desirable); * a valid CSCS card and have completed SMSTS * previous experience of working on a wide range of construction projects including build, highways, drainage, bridges, groundworks, structures and general construction projects; * 3 years' experience in Engineering; * a proven track record of completing large construction/civil engineering projects on schedule and within budget; * practical experience of managing and setting sub-contractors to work; * experience of computer programmes including CAD and Microsoft Office; * successful candidates will have an eye for detail and for quality of build * a full UK driving licence

Our client is a major player in the interiors market with significant expertise in work space design and delivery They now have a requirement for a Senior Pre-Con Project Manager with significant interiors Fit Out and workspace design and delivery experience to get involved in projects in the Aberdeen area. The Role You will work in their pre-contract team i.e. someone who looks after the project before it goes into the construction phase. Liaising with the client and the internal design & build teams. They are looking for someone who has quite a bit of PM experience and very commercially minded probably coming through from the commercial side to PM. The role would be based in Aberdeen and out on sites, reporting to their Design & build director. The ideal candidate will have significant commercial/work space design and delivery fit out experience. Prospects are fantastic and the starting salary is competitive. Our client is a leading engineering and construction business operating across the UK and Ireland Due to a significant workload they now have a requirement for a Senior Planner Work Winning to be part of their work winning team Our client is looking for experienced candidates for this role and they must have relevant site engineering and planning experience- groundworks, RC Frame and civil engineering/infrastructure You would have a good handle on construction methodologies and have produced short term programmes. Ideally you would have had some planning experience but in a short period of time would be expected to be self-sufficient in planning works for tenders, progress mark-ups, resource loading and be able to advise projects on where they might find opportunity to gain betterment on a project programme. You will also be expected to contribute to the project reporting using KPIs centred around production rates and outputs. Planning Overview The Planning function is key to the success of a project - planning and sequencing the permanent works, logistics and temporary works phasing, engaging our project teams in BIM and assisting with development of the cost plan. Ideally you will have progressed from site based engineering into planning and both a civils and/or an M&E background will be considered. About The Opportunity This work involves specialist capabilities including the design & build of structural steelwork, cladding, piling and material handling equipment/ conveyors. The overall project value will be circa £165 million. As a Senior Planning Engineer, you will be working collaboratively with both the Internal and external Design and Procurement teams to implement robust pre-construction programmes. You will also develop and lead the construction programme development interacting with all Group companies to help deliver amazing environments whilst being responsible for mentoring, coaching and managing others The planning function is key to the success of a project - planning and sequencing the permanent works, logistics and temporary works phasing, engaging their project teams in BIM and leading the industry in planning world class projects.
