Estimator – Dry Lining and Ceilings - Berkshire
My client is a leading specialist subcontractor working in the supply and installation of wall, ceilings and render across the residential and commercial workplace in the UK. Many of our clients are blue chip main contractors with large budgets
and ambitions and as a result this company has a constant supply of high-level projects.
About the role
As Estimator you will assume responsibility for several tender enquiries at any one time. Reporting to the Estimating Director and working closely with Pre-Construction team, your responsibilities will include:
* Tender proposal/return compilation including:
* Conduct electronic take-off of ceilings and partitions.
* Electronic enquiry and pricing document compilation.
* Rate compilation and tender adjudication.
* Specification scrutiny and value engineering recognition.
* Strong technical understanding.
* Rate compilation and tender adjudication.
About the Estimator
* Estimating experience; managing key accounts and clients.
* All round project knowledge preferred
* Experience within the commercial interiors market.
* Good commercial acumen.
* Able to work in a dynamic and sometimes pressured environment, handling multiple enquiries at any one time.
* Strong IT, interpersonal and communication skills.
* Able to work to deadlines and manage workload.
* Educated to degree level and/or a reputable construction qualification.
* Experience of working in a mid-size subcontract environment.
* Form of contract awareness.
* Knowledge of dry lining, ceiling and system partitioning products.
* Knowledge of OnSite software.

As a business they mainly focus on the Residential side of the industry but also have Commercial projects as well. They generally work on projects with values of up to £10M.
About the Candidate
My Client are looking for a young Estimator with 3 – 5 years’ experience in the industry to come in and really grow with the business, as they continue to expand! As a business they are based in the Hertfordshire area but are happy to take candidates from various locations as long as they are happy to travel around.
About the Job Role
* Location – Hertfordshire; they are looking for someone who is happy to travel to their offices and if travel is not a problem for you then location is not problem for them.
* Salary - £35,000 - £45,000
* Experience: 3 – 5 years’ experience in the Industry
* Projects: Mainly Residential projects in and around London
