Our growing Plymouth based refurbishment unit seek several, skilled Carpenters to join our established projects team, typically covering up to a 50-mile radius of Plymouth, including Exeter. We welcome Carpenters who have a genuine desire to deliver the highest quality of workmanship and just as importantly, to operate with drive, honesty, and integrity. As Carpenters you will be completing FRA works within public and commercial buildings and if not already obtained, you will be provided with the opportunity to work towards a 3rd party accreditation to formally recognise your specialist FRA skills. Duties and responsibilities of a Carpenter: To complete all fire door fitting works, renewing/upgrading and the installation of new fire doors. Boxing in, to the correct specification, within a variety of settings including public and commercial buildings across Devon. You will be responsible for completing 1st and 2nd fix carpentry works within a variety of projects sometimes within environments such as residential, commercial or educational arenas as required by the business. To work in a courteous, professional and safe manner always, with excellent customer service skills. About the role: Due to securing a new contract, we are currently looking for Painter and Decorators to join our thriving Painting Business in Liverpool. You will be completing internal and external painting works as part of a variety of projects and contracts with a particular focus in working on our social housing contract on properties within the Merseyside area. Supervising direct labour and subcontractors Carrying out property surveys and the pricing up of the works accurately Organization of the workload, labour, plant and materials Ensuring compliance with statutory requirement, company policy and procedures on Health & Safety. Communicating targets, costs, progress, and variances back to client surveyors and management regularly. Managing site administration and records. Carrying out effective inductions to the workforce. What will you bring as a Voids Supervisor? A trade background (all trades considered) and qualified to NVQ level 2 or above/ equivalent is preferred. An SSSTS would also be advantageous but not essential Proven supervisory experience in a similar role preferably within a social housing or an insurance related environment You will be customer centric in your approach to monitoring productivity.
