Our client’s mechanical division specialises in a range or of areas including Heating, Ventilation, Plumbing predominantly in Residential, Student Accommodation, Theatres, Supermarkets, Schools from the value of £30k-£2 Million These projects are across the midlands, so they will be open to applications from the area. As the Mechanical Project Manager, you will ensure the projects are running accordingly with the installation and specification requirements whilst ensuring compliance with specification and contract documentation. To be considered for this role you must have 3+ years’ experience managing Mechanical projects. The Mechanical Project Manager will have the following duties and responsibilities: * Pre-construction - procurement of subcontractors, materials and plant. * Planning to make sure the projects completed are profitable. * Attending meetings with Principle Contractors, Consultants and Architects. * Carry out project administration-progress reports. * Fully resource project and implement any H&S matters. * Lead, drive and encourage site team. You’ll develop cost models/plans, submit accurate estimates and manage bids for projects, including large and more complex major schemes ensuring that all client requirements and technical issues are fully considered. You will be expected to interface with both our existing and prospective new clients. This position will involve the day-to-day management of the tender process to ensure standards are maintained and deadlines are met. You’ll prioritise and manage your own workload, maintain accurate records of tenders submitted while interfacing with our Estimating Manager, Procurement team and Operations Team. This will be completed with the objective of delivering supplier coordination to ensure accuracy, best value and competitiveness of estimate and accommodation of the supply chain critical path. Responsibilities: * Provide accurate take offs and maintain a high level of competency when preparing prime cost estimates. * Work independently and as part of a team. * Propose Value Engineering Proposals and provide innovation where applicable. * Competently use Trimble Contract Master for preparing estimates. * Manage client and key stakeholder requests in a professional and timely manner. To be successful in this role, you’ll have the ability to prepare Schedule of Rates, "take off" quantities from drawings or bill of quantities and have previous experience within an electrical environment. You’ll also have strong commercial and business awareness to enable you to identify and recommend appropriate bid proposals that meet client needs as well as promote the Company's interests. Therefore, you must be highly motivated and accurate, as attention to detail is vital, as is excellent Maths and IT skills. The Installations Manager will provide guidance and leadership to Regional Supervisors to enable them to effectively manage their Installations Teams throughout the UK.
