The right individual for the Civil Technician position will have a background working on a range of commercial and residential projects, within a UK based Design Consultancy. Ideally the right candidate for this Civil Technician role will need to have a minimum of 2 years demonstrable experience working for UK based Consulting Engineers providing Design services within the sector, with end clients being ideally in the residential sector although other sectors including commercial, education and leisure are considered. You will need to be skilled in AutoCAD and Win Des / Micro-Drainage as well as having previous experience using other software to complete Drainage Design on Residential and Commercial projects. A software package that would be of particular interest would be Civil 3D. Candidates with experience in all of these software packages would have a distinct advantage. This excellent forward-thinking practice and entering an exciting period of extended growth, and as a result they are looking to hire another Civil Technician to support their planned further expansion of the office. The project workload is focused on residential and commercial projects, ranging from new builds through to refurbishments and extensions. The broad range of clients includes private clients as well as large multinational household names, and the successful Civil Technician will have the opportunity to work on a range of major projects with exciting remits for blue-chip clientele. This role will suit an ambitious individual who is looking to further enhance their career and progress further in the Civil Engineering sector. The role will provide the successful individual with the opportunity to take control of all aspects of projects, from initial scheme design right through to the completion of construction on site. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years’ previous experience as a Civil Technician and be looking to continue their career as a Civil Technician working on residential and commercial projects. The position will involve regular travel as required on an ad hoc basis in line with the projects you are working on and responsible for, and candidates must be prepared to do so where required.
