About the role: Due to securing new contracts, we are currently looking for experienced Painter and Decorators to join our thriving Painting Business, initially on a three month fixed contract. Motivated in your approach to work, and able to work to individual and team output targets Possession of a full current UK Driving licence, which is essential to undertake the Painting Foreperson role. Our growing Plymouth based refurbishment unit seek several, skilled Carpenters to join our established projects team, typically covering up to a 50-mile radius of Plymouth. We welcome Carpenters who have a genuine desire to deliver the highest quality of workmanship and just as importantly, to operate with drive, honesty, and integrity. As Carpenters you will be completing FRA works within residential and commercial environments and if not already obtained, you will be provided with the opportunity to work towards a 3rd party accreditation to formally recognise your specialist FRA skills. Duties and responsibilities of a Carpenter: To complete all fire door fitting works, renewing/upgrading and the installation of new fire doors. Boxing in, to the correct specification, within a variety of settings including residential and tenanted homes across Devon and Cornwall. You will be responsible for completing 1st and 2nd fix carpentry works within a variety of projects sometimes within environments such as commercial or educational arenas as required by the business. To work in a courteous and professional manner with excellent customer service skills. Expectations of the successfully appointed Carpenters: Qualified to an NVQ 2 level in Carpentry, or similar professional body Experience in fitting Fire doors/ completing FRA works would be advantageous but not essential A commitment to work professionally always The ability to genuinely take pride and ownership in your craft and conduct A good knowledge and understanding of how to complete your work and behave professionally always considering the health and safety of yourself and others Possession of a full current UK Driving licence with access to your own vehicle, which is essential to undertake the Carpenter role.
